As lot of you may know ive had alot of drama with my future inlaws with massive arguments and blow outs etc. But they have helped us out so much. Our budget was very small to begin with but thanks to them our Civil Partnership is going to be amazing. Her Cousin / MOH - Paying for our Limo for 3 hour hire & Hair and makeup Mom - Brought one ring and one dress, plus a chocolate fountain and whatever else they are keeping secret. Aunt - the other dress and other ring, doing our buffet for us, was going to order us a cake but im doing it myself, and is buying all the chocolate fountain bits and bobs. Her brothers - both best men (couldnt chose between them) have paid for our travel and accommodation for our honeymoon.
We never expected anything off them and im blown away by how much they have helped us. I decide to buy them all a small gift to say thank you without blowing the bank but im abit stuck i have brought them all a main present but dont have anything else small too. None of my family are attending the wedding apart from a aunt. No mum, no sister, no brothers, no nephews nothing all because im gay and moved to birmingham to be happy so its really important i thank her side for being so amazing.
:) Hellllppppp

Wow, what amazing generous people! And what a lovely way to be welcomed into their family :) Yeah I'd definitely get them thank you gifts, maybe something personalised so it's that bit more special? Xxx

Awww that's really nice.
I've found a lady who writes on grains of rice, adds them to vials of liquid so you can read the writing then puts them on jewellery or key rings etc. So I'm getting my BM's bracelets (also to wear on the day), and mums and grandmas key chains, or magnets or something similar.
I have ordered personalised shot glasses and tankards for the dads, BM and ushers, which were all under £10 xx

That is truly amazing, its nice to read something on here about nice in-laws, as I know most of us have had massive problems with ours.
Hope you manage to find something small to give them as a thank you, i'm sure it will mean the world to them. So sorry to hear about how your family has reacted to it all too. its such a shame when people can't see that love is love, no matter in what form! x

Thats lovely hun. im also blessed with wonderful inlaws they have cared for me like there own daughter since i got with h2b 7 years ago and have done more for me than my mum has ever done, they were there for us when i went thru my 2 misscarages, and took us on holidays and helped us out when we were tight on cash at the end of a month. we unfortunatly lost my FIL to swine flu just after my son was born over a year ago, he was a wonderful man and i would have had him give me away as my father dissapeared of the scene a while ago. But all his family have been so supportive and care for me like iv been in the family all the time. its lovely when you know you are marrying into a wonderful family, theres always a little something where dissagreements are made and something blows over, but its nice to know you are being backed the whole way. At the end of the day they are happy to accept you into the family and im really pleased for you hun. hope you both have a wonderful day xx
