they actually look identicle to my real engagment ring and wedding ring, but I thought to be on the safe side as a bit of insurance, I would get these to wear on honeymoon......or any other holiday come to that....£8 off the bay! Anyone else doing or done this?

yeah i thought along the lines of being mugged or something aswell. I would miss wearing my real rings , and having to wear a cheapo wouldnt be that great....but when i know my real rings are safer at home....that will make me relax i reckon.

natasha .....luckily I found one that looks like my engagement ring because my ring is quite a popular style, but if I couldnt have found one I would have just got a cheap wedding ring, and a nice dress ring to look as if it was an engagement ring. it really doesnt have to be the same.....not for just two weeks, no one knows it ISNT your engagement ring so it doesnt have to be the same really.

that would be a great idea, and maybe if you're worried about scratching it, a tungsten one would be better cos they dont scratch at all.....but they are dull looking. OK for a bloke as they are sort of metallic grey. but they are also safer to wear because they dont bend. so he wouldnt get his fingers squashed or anything, the ring would break instead of bending.

MeIN thats what I am worried about too. Whilst on honeymoon I will feel much better knowing my rings are at home. I know they would be covered by the holiday insurance, but some things just cant be replaced can they?

Yes, also I won't be so worried if I accidently lose them! I would really hate to lose the real ones, and yes holiday insurance would cover them, but they wouldn't be the same. Also, we got our wedding rings made in Turkey so they're not as easily replaced as they could be.

No i havent, we chose that one because of sigfried and roys lions......(like we couldnt have just visited them anyway!)
but H2B has a friend that goes a lot and he said that the Mirage was very nice. if money had been no object I would have loved to stay at the bellagio......but we can go there and even eat there, just the same as if we were staying there cant we?

I wanted to go to florida if I'm honest.....I love florida........

Yes course you can eat there, thats my favourite hotel too. They have dolphins too at the Mirage. I can recommend the buffet meal at the MGM and the Luxor very good value we ate there cos the food in the Excalibur was rotten it made me ill so we steered clear after that. One tip I will give is the Deuce bus service is very good that runs the length of the strip you can get a 24 hour ticket for a couple of dollars its worth it. I can recommend the night time helicopter flight too we only ended up doing this cos we could'nt do the Grand Canyon because it snowed very heavily and we could'nt go up.

i lost my first engagment ring after only having it for 4 weeks H2B finally forgave me and we brought another ring exactly the same which we were lucky to find but now i realise the cost of it (£1,500) I have it insured but i am always worried about losing it. This is a brilliant idea.

i am getting my H2B 2 wedding rings as he is a chef so cant wear a ring for work with any stones or grooves in but the ring he really likes has stones in so we decided he would have a work ring and a home ring.

I WILL miss not wearing my real set, but I will miss it a whole lot more if I lost it. at least I know its only for a fortnight......

H2B isnt having a wedding ring, but I would have liked him to have had one just for the ceremony......so maybe a cheapy would do for that I am thinking?

Well my ring set arrived today, and I must say I am quite impressed. fits very well and looks pretty real.
Look at the fake ring next to my diamond ring......my diamond looks filthy! its a K colour diamond, and I love that its warm and vintage looking, but next to the fake......which is like some peoples real diamonds...probably a D,E or F, mine looks really dirty........Oh well I wont be wearing them at the same time will I, so never mind.....I love my engagement ring just as it is....I actually chose this colour because it looked warm and vintage...

Good idea. I'm also going to Vegas for honeymoon! Then San Fran and San Diego.

I'm constantly worried about getting mugged wherever I go. Comes with watching csi too much! So I would like fakeys too.

Can you post the seller on my wall please Anne? Put in 'ring set' on the bay and get thousands!!!
