I tried my wedding band on again with my engagement ring and I just can't accept it, I really don't like them together. I've got a weird shaped engagement ring and we got a plain white band moulded to fit and I just don't like the look of a chuck of metal on my finger.

I'm seriously thinking of getting another plain band and just wearing that on it's own problem is don't have the budget to do that just yet

@cakes It's specially made to fit the ring so not a great deal they can do.
@MD - you can wear your ring wherever you want lol
@millz - I'm going to have to save up it's just disheartening when you wait so long to get it and just can't stand the look of it even in the box wouldn't mind but the was mould looked ok lol

Ah honey, i can guess it is disheartening but be worth it in the end when you have the right ring. My engagement ring is funny shapped too and dont know what im going to do about my wedding ring as dont want a finger of metal, like you. I may wear my engagement ring on another hand xxx

I'm sure you're the second person now to get a moulded wedding ring that they didn't like. Could you not send it back and have it melted down and remade into a normal band?

I'm just going to have to spin it round on the day so you can't see the edging, h2b mentioned that we might get another ring to go with the 'original' engagement ring.
@holl - I'd have to pay to get it remelted and shaped :(

I'm kinda dreading our appointment next week, my e-ring is a wonky asymetric shape too, and I don't think I could live with the uneven gaps if I got a plain straight band, but I also am not too keen on the pictures I've seen of moulded bands which would be like the one I'd be getting. Aside from anything, wont it look wrong on the rings-on-cushion picture!? I guess maybe speak to the jewellers and see if there's anything they can suggest? Good luck!

@emma if you turn it round so that the wonky bit isn't showing in the ring box then won't look too bad on the photo's but I'm not wanting those type photos anyway so can escape that.
When I saw the pictures of moulded rings they looked really nice. The jeweler is USELESS, it took them nearly 7 months to make the ring in the first place and was only in contact the minute they needed paying. Sometimes I wish I used smooch but didn't like the idea of having a naked finger plus there rings were soo much more expensive :(
