Hello ladies,
I originally was going to purchase a basque for on the big day, this is due to my mummy tummy, I know h2b has seen it before lol, but I thought I would feel 'sexier' if it was covered up for our wedding night!

Anyway, the problem I have is that the bodice of my dress has some boning in it already so, if I was to wear a basque I would be wearing double the amount of boning. I really don't want to just wear a bra with my jelly belly. So I have been looking at some corselettes, the majority seem to have no boning in them and just have panelling to cinch you in at the waist...perfect, but they seem to be designed to wear suspenders with them and I am not wearing them due to having peep toe shoes.
Has anyone got any good tips for me?
Would I look stupid wearing one without suspenders?
Honest opinions please, thanks.

I feel a bit ditzy now, do you not normally sneak off with the made of honour and change into the sexy underwear at the end of the night? Bit faffy buy means you can just wear something practical during the day? xx

ok I have been advised not to wear a basque as like you, the top half is tight as mines a corset. However, theres nothing stopping you from buying a control underwear and then swapping very quickly before hubby to be sees you in the bedroom x Also, when you sit down, in my experience basques actually pop out and then stick out.... I can only wear them if I am going somewhere like a cocktail bar where you stand or it looks funny. x Hope you find somethinfg

I wore control underwear ( I have the "mummy tummy"lol) under my dress, then changed into my more sexy set before Hubby could see, it made me feel better about myself as im so concious about my belly!!! but still got to wear the sexy set for my man :0) xx

I have the Elomi basque to wear for my day, and like you was worried about the whole double boning issue (lol) ...so i tried it on with another top of mine which has boning sewn inside and i was totally fine, i wore it for about and hour going about my business inside just to make sure it was properly comfy, say to eat my tea etc etc....no bones stuck out on in and was dead comfy xx

Have you had a look at the support 'all in ones' in asda. I know it sounds cheap but they are controlling and they have a 'lace look' as oppose to looking like something your dad would want you to wear for the rest of your days! You could still get changed into even more sexy 'bedroom' underwear, but if h2b did catch a glimpse (I dont know about you, but mine is highly unlikely to let me get to the bedroom without him) it wouldnt be the end of the world as they look quite nice. The fasten around the back and under the crotch and you dont need suspenders with them. The also have detatchable straps so can be strapless, halterneck cross back or normal. To boot they are only £12.00. I really like mine and will be buying a white one for the day x

KATG........this is what I am hoping to buy today actually.....they look lovely, and they are the same shape as a swimming costume if you like, and they are £12!!! the straps can be removed if you choose. and they are from the tummy control collection....theres 2 styles, one is plain with lace trim on the legs, and the other is all over lace....both are really nice.

I had a look at those all in ones from Asda they are quite good aren't they, especially the price.
I know it sounds really silly, but I actually cried about this last night (hormones), I just feel like I can't find anything that I will feel I look good in, then when I thought I did last night H2B leaned over my shoulder whilst I was looking and said, "Gosh, that's awful!" I just want to look good and feel confident but it's just not happening for me at the moment. xx
