I did when I set out looking but then I went to Meadowhall and it's much better to see them in the shops than online.
What kind are you looking for?

This is the one thing I haven't really struggled with. I went onto a chinese website that do all wedding stuff amongst other things and found my shoes/boots in 10 minutes. I have had them for over a year now waiting to be worn, so can't wait. But if you are struggling then going out physically shopping for them is better as you can spend as long as you need to find the perfect pair with the right heel etc. Good luck. xx

Do you have an idea on the sort of style you want? Next have some nice ones that are a little different from traditional wedding shoe styles in ivory too, which are much more reasonably priced than the £50 upwards that wedding shoes seems to start at....

If it's any consolation, my dream shoes are by Gina and cost £470, I want them so much and for the last 2 years, since my OH and I started properly discussing marriage, I've said they'll be my wedding shoes, but I'd hoped to pick them up in the sale. Unfortunately, they're being discontinued, so it's either pay £470 now (wedding isn't until 2014) or pay £700 when they go into the couture range, or, not have them, grr!

Where have you looked? Don't limit your search just to bridal suppliers, also check out other designers/shoe stores, as many do bridal styles. Next have a few pairs that I like, you could also look at KG and Carvela, Faith, Dune, and LK Bennett

If you're going high street, I suggest New Look (bias perhaps, but I do spend most of my time there)- they've got some nice ivory shoes. Although I'd recommend them only if you're planning on wearing high heels all day.

If you want to splash out a little bit, what about ballroom dance shoes? I'm getting a pair made by Freed and they're gorgeous and so so comfortable. I don't like that the soles are leather (I'm a vegetarian and try to avoid leather as much as I can, but with dance shoes its almost impossible to avoid) but they're so perfect. The only thing that bugs me is that I found out today that I get 10% off Supadance as an IDTA member... but Supadance isn't wide-fit friendly.

Thanks for all your help ladies,

I like lots of different styles but nothing too fussy, i think i'm better looking for wide fit though i think, i didnt think i had wide feet but the shoes i have tried on recently are too tight around my toes !!

I've fallen in love with the Benjamin Adams swarovski encrusted shoes "charlize" bit they are £295. I haven't actually tried them on so no idea if they would be ok to be in all day. Would like to try them on soon though as don't know what's got in to h2b but he's just told me I can get them if I want even at that price! X

I'm having real problems finding shoes that I like! I need less than a 3 inch heel, but I'd like something that looks more like shoes I'd wear normally rather than 'bridal shoes' - I definitely don't want satin. Most of the high st shops I've looked at have nice shoes but with the styles that I like the heels all seem to be a bit high. Can anyone recommend somewhere that has a good selection of non-traditional bridal shoes?

I am also in the same boat. My dream shoes are by Harriet wilde. But have now stopped being made and have gone out of stock in most places. The only places that do have it have it at full price which is £239. which i cant afford. Booohooo. I have found some on the high street which are £75 but are abit high. doh. I dont know what to do either! xx
