Well as of tomorrow I would of been a married lady for a week. Still have to sort my name change with all the official departments....not looking forward to this bit as stupidly only have one certificate so ideally I would rather make appointments and take my certificate with me rather than sending it off and it inevitably getting lost in the good old British post system.
Anyway back to the day itself....we could not have asked for better weather. The first day of a heat wave!!! Could not of predicted that even if we tried especially after all the pants weather we have had in May! The photographer has done an excellent job and has posted a short video taster on his FB page for us to nosey at until he has had time to edit and upload all images to his website.
Looking back at some of my chums pics I do wish I had lost a bit more weight as there is a bit of an issue with 'back fat' on some of them....but generally am pretty chuffed with the majority of the images that are popping up on social networking sites. Generally everything went to plan there was onlyo ne hiccup and well it was quite a biggy. Our cake apparently collapsed and ended up on the floor....the venue swear it is down to the heat of the day and the cake 'melted' but I am convinced it was knocked by their staff when they were moving chairs from the chapel into the hall where we were all going to eat. If it had of melted then they should of moved the cake out of the sun or kept it in a cool room until later, and to top it off they did not close off the hall, where we were to eat, to all the guests.....so as a result they all saw the room before me, which has slightly p***ed me off but not much you can do after the event lol.
Overall the day was absolutely fantastic and all my guests have told me how amazing he day was for them to.....which could not make me any happier. My advice to all you other brides to be out there is the same advice I had from all my married friends and family, take time to take everything in as it does go pretty quick. I did and it has helped me remember every single second of my day! Good luck girlies and I hope your day is just as fantastic as mine, which I am sure it will be!

Congratulations! Glad you had a brilliant day :) Such a shame about the cake though :( What did you do about it? I'd be putting a formal complaint in to them tbh, weather it was the heat or the staff, its their responcibillity to look after everything including the cake and like you have said, they should have moved it out of the heat!
