My MOH has a friend who is a cake maker for a living. I have seen pictures on her website and was stunned at how talented she is. My MOH said she will speak to this lady about making my cake for me, I was really pleased as I know it would be stunning but was also very nervous about how much it would cost me. Anyways my MOH calls me tonight as she saw this lady yesterday and showed her a pic of what I wanted and she said she would make me a 3 tier cake however I like for £150! Im shocked I was expecting her to say 3 times that amount and im soo happy that we can have our dream cake at a really good price. She has also offered to make cookie favours for me with any design and has come up with some ideas for my flowers. This has made my week.

I cant believe how many people I know, know ppl that can be of use like photographer, wedding cars, florists and now the cake. I was panicking and thinking theres no way we would be able to afford a honeymoon, but because of some fab friends who have been able to save us £s it looks like we will be getting one. Im actually really starting to relax and enjoy the planning.

It's so good having someone you know who can do you such a good deal, my MiL2B is making ours, she is a whizz at cakes, and helps us save that bit more money too
