butterfly dreamer! take a deep breathe when people say thinsg am 18 months off n already stressin had arguements already about BM dresses cos my sister thinks she can pick n wanted halterneck which i hate and do not want! all i said its my choice and i want a strapless just below knee dress ( i kno they payin but its still mainly my chocie0 i said they will hav an inut but its my decision end of day. And mother in law goin iwill luk through ure guest list and probably cut some off!! i dint say owt but am like excuse me i hav picked my guests no 1 will edited iot other than me n h2b!

Butterfly sweetheart, we've all been here and we've all made the fatal mistake of trying to please everybody. In theory you do what everyone else wants and they're all happy, the reality is you can't please everyone, especially not all at the same time.
Your wedding day is for you and your gorgeous man and no-one else - if you want to have Waybuloo creatures as BMs then so be it, if you want to walk down the aisle in a leather catsuit then do it, who gives a t0ss what anyone else thinks? As long as you and him are happy then it really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks or says about your wedding. People seem to forget that the day is actually about commiting yourself to the person you choose to spend the rest of your life with, it is not an excuse to have a big party or get wasted or kick off because it's not to your tastes.
As for that stepmother of yours - she has zero right to tell you how to conduct your reception. If you want to do things properly and your mum and dad are happy to sit together then the old witch needs to button her gob - it's not your fault she's jealous and insecure and can't handle it!
And for all this "You need to invite so-and-so because it wouldn't be fair otherwise" - yeah, fine, they stick their hands in their pockets and stump up the cash for these people to be there and that's fine, if they're not prepared to do that then it's hard lines and you invite who you actually want there.

Sit with your H2B tonight and talk about what you actually want and who you actually want there and do that. Take a tip from a B2B who's learnt the hard way - tell nobody anything, get on with what you're doing and leave the whole day as a total surprise.

I'm so pleased for you hun. Its good to see that your h2b has been there to support you in your time of need. It goes to show you can't cancel on him because he is an angel. Now you know you have him there to help and support you things won't feel so bad so you can get some sleep. You still have loads of time to sort things out and get them the way you want them and we are always here to sound off on too.

I'm just delighted I have my date buddy back :0) I can get married knowing that you are too!

Haha we are all plonkers from time to time but at least you have seen the errors of your way now and have stopped being a muppet. Now all you need to do is tap your red shoes and sort out the wicked witch of the west ;o)

Hi Butterfly Dreamer, have just been reading tur thread. Sorry to hear u are having all these problems, but glad to read u have sorted things out and are still going ahead with things......I am the same date and 17th Sept is gonna be the best date to get married this year (seems very popular lol) .
I have to say, I think I am the opposite of u and am way too laid back about sorting things out, I have the main things booked like photos, dj and venue. But really have to get off my backside and organise all the rest.
