in planning this wedding!! well by planning I mean finalising the details!! me and my mum came at logger heads this morning, as ive mentioned in previous posts she has been very un-interested in the whole wedding thing, so I went round there this morning with my 2 little ones, as I thought it would be nice for us to sit and addredd the invites together.. oh no!! not my mum!! I got a mouthful of her for turning up on her 'only day off' she had housewrok etc etc.. (we'd arranged to meet at 12 anyway) well that was it! I had a huge strop at her saying oh dont worrie then I will just do everything myself, i've planned this whole thing alone so why change now mum! and i stormed out.. so thats it now, im not going to even mention the wedding to her now, all I ever got was a 'hmmmmm' or a 'sounds nice' so im not going to upset myself anymore and Im just going to get on with it now! sorry rant over xx :)

thanks natalie88, I was getting so worked up about everything, the photographer is coming round this evening to take deposit and talk through requirements which is exciting! just sad coz h2b just off to work now, so ill be on my tod lol, It just really got me down that I have literally done everything myself :( but im just going to enjoy it now xx :)

i think its hard to see it from other people's point of view and how it gets all wedding wedding wedding talk ...i know its a exciting event and exciting time but its always nice to take some time out and do something non-wedding related...
so you can maybe meet up next week, take kids to park and just have a good natter!! it helps..honestly

all will be ok thats what we are all here for is to support each other have fun with the photographer, make sure u have a list of shots that you want taken so none are missed :) Its hard when you got to do it on your own, h2b is very interested at points then not so at others. I really feel for you but its your day so don't let anyone spoil it for you. I grew up in Foster care so don't have parents but my MOL is amazing and she is getting really involved.We have a few people though that don't want to hear about the wedding even though we have hardly talked about it that much which narks me as its not very often something big like this happens.(We've only been engaged a month as well so its still new) I think that is why I love coming on here so much as I don't have to be scared about talking about it. Everyone on here is just as interested and its nice to share ideas. You have plenty of people on here who will listen to you. x x x

Man it really gets to me that your mums dont want to be involved, i can lend you mine if you like she is so over excited. It bugs me how family and sometimes even friends cant be happy or help friends/family when we need it. Ukbride wouldnt be in business if everything was perfect though right? xxx

Hi, I'm new to this and was having a noisy and why is it people seem to go out of there way to ruin what is meant to be the happiest day of your life including all the build up to it. Although my mum is being very helpful and very excited we recently came to blows over the wedding, in January i found my real father, the man who bought me up was a horrible man he hated me because i wasn't his him and my mum had 2 children of there own and boy did he (step dad) let me know it. anyway good news about finding my real dad right???........well everything was fine till i told my mum i wanted to invite him to the wedding (who wouldn't want there dad there right) she went mad calling me selfish among other things (the air has been cleared between us now) we are actually going wedding dress shopping this afternoon. but i am yet to ask my father to attend the wedding and i know that my mum is on edge, which i do understand there relationship ended on a good note ish but she left the town without a word and without him knowing she was even pregnant so he only knew in January of my existence im 29 so all this happened along time ago, but i cant not invite him, even though i am aware he might not want to attend as things are still very new. Families lol. sorry rant over (got a bit carried away there didn't i)
