Wedding Forum - I am finally a Mrs! Xxx...

Hi all! Thought I would just pop on and give you all an update of how the wedding day went as I have now been married for a month ( and I am finally a Mrs)!

The days leading up to the wedding were extremely stressful, especially as we moved house 2 and half weeks before (which I would not recommend doing). Even on the morning of the wedding I was still sorting things out for the actual wedding, but a family friend came and took over for me so that I could relax! Lol

I had to get up at 6 am to be at my hairdressers for 6.30 but I was awake by 5am anyway. I checked the weather and it said it would be sunny and clear all day, however while at the hairdressers the heavens opened and I had a bit of a breakdown! Luckily that was the rain over for the day though and the rest of the day was beautiful! Getting ready was a bit of a blur and seemed to go so so quick and before I knew it I was getting into my dress and into the car, it all happened that quick that I forgot to put on any of my jewellery (but I didn't realise this until 10pm!).

We got to the church and I was so excited, I just wanted to be married at that point! My mums choir sang me down the aisle which was lovely and I didn't cry once, I just had a massive grin on my face the whole way through. My poor bridesmaid did a reading for us and was crying the whole way through, then on the way down she looked at me and missed a step, falling over in front of everyone, luckily she saw the funny side of it though!

We got in our horse and carriage and went to the reception venue where everyone was waiting for us, had a lovely meal and the speeches were fab! Then it was time for the first dance which was lovely, and the money dance (which some of you might remember I was petrified my guests wouldn't do!) but I needn't have worried as everyone joined in, even my parents who were so against us doing it! The Greek band went down fabulously with everyone and we had a DJ to finish off. We were supposed to finish at midnight but all our guests were still there having a great time so the bar staff agreed to stay on unpaid (they said they were having a brilliant time themselves) and the band also agreed to stay later, in the end we didn't get to bed until 3am!

Everyone who came has said how much they enjoyed it and what a fabulous atmosphere there was! We had the most perfect day and all the little things I was stressing about really didn't matter, our loved ones being there enjoying themselves and us getting married was all that mattered in the end!

We also had a fab honeymoon in Dominican Republic and now it's back to reality! Thank you to everyone on here who helped me throughout my planning and dramas, I truly appreciated it!

I'm really loving it! But I do still have wedding and honeymoon blues! I spent two and a half years planning it and feel a bit lost now its all over and done with! Xxx
