Well ladies, i am using my last year out of the country to try and lose weight so i look beautiful in my dress, its better to do it out here as there are no restaurants or temptation of naughty food really. So after hearing all the hype about zumba i decided to give it a go and brought a home kit so i can do it in my compound! OMG! i blimin love it, ive been doing it a week and i can already feel my body getting "tighter". Has anyone else got the zumba fever? Have you lost weight, tone up any? x

I never had the time do to any more than 2... even that was pushing it

The wii game is ok...but I think doing the classes is much better as you can spur each other on etc and its good for the social aspect topo

according to my tutor... in one zumba class you can burn up to 1000 calories if done properly

I need to loose a few more dress sizes yet!!

Its hard to shed the weight when you work full time, plan a wedding etc etc.... i know where your coming from, but slowly slowly catchy monkey - im sure it will all come together in the end, and you have a while until the big day. How many dress sizes would you like to lose? x

i LOVE zumba! I go to class twice a week normally and really enjoy it :o) Havent been for 3 weeks though because my knee partially dislocated at a class and i've been waiting for it to get back to normal. Starting again tomorrow though, looking forward to it! I haven't lost any more weight since I've been doing it but I've definitely toned up a bit, my arms in particular xx

Hi Antonio, I bought the one for the wii and I've been going on it every 2 days cos of work. I started my exercise stuff on jan 5th and in the first two weeks I lost 9lb. I went from a size 20 to an 18 lol. I haven't been weighed since and my clothes hang off me haha I must have lost at least a stone since jan. I get weighed by the nurse next week so I won't find out till then.
Once I stick my mind to something I like I stay doing it lol.
I'm aiming to get back down to a size 12-14 like I was when I first met h2b so I need to stick to it haha!
I think I'd need more confidence before I went to any classes tho, I prefer my own front room at the minute haha!
    xx

Good thing about it is that ya moving every bit of your body so it's not like ya just toning your legs it's the full lot :)
I live over the road from the beach and someone told
Me its really good for your leg muscles to either walk/jog/run along it. Maybe when I loose a bit more weight I may take up jogging at night haha!
Stick at it and the results are amazing. I used to love going to the gym and then I moved house to the other side of the town so Zumba is the next best thing lol I have the wii fit too and that's pretty good x

haha LMB there is lots of wobbling going on at class! its hilarious to start with but worryingly you sort of get used to having somebody elses bottom wobbling in your face! ;o) My favourite move is the boob shimmy, mainly because my friend is almost flat chested, can't do it and gets very embarrassed everytime she tries - especially with me standing next to her shaking my E cups! haha :o) LOVE IT!

I used to go zumba 3-4 times a week, but got bored after 6 months, I now do pole dancing lessons - they are the best ever! Burn upto ,1000 calories in an hour, does some serious toning and increases your flexibility! Also learn a sill that not everyone does - not to mention people are wowed when they find out your hobby! Not so sure if it wows everyone :-)
But it tones you up for sure. One of my sils does it and her arms look a bit Madonna like by now. Certainly impressive. Hilarious - HILARIOUS - when her mother told the hairdresser that her daughter is doing lap dancing and she's financing her lessons. That happened over a year ago and I was next to her nearly weeing myself laughing correcting her in the end and telling the hair dresser that she meant pole dancing for fitness. Not that funny now but that day it was just priceless.
Another priceless moment was when sils boyfriend gave her her bday present (her own pole) and she unwrapped it in front of the whole family and uncle and I were the first to clock what it was - nanny kept on shouting in excitement "a hopcap" "a bowl" "a sword" - and sil nearly died of embarrasment. God that was funny.

    Certainly very interesting and acrobatic!
