We found a photographer and at a wedding fair his work was really good - now he has sent his brochure with his booking form he has bumped up his prices. The three things rob really wanted were the tog, the videographer and the cars. I am just wondering if it is mean of me to ask my H2b not to have the photographer he wants so we dont have to compromise on other things cuz he is so expensive

compromise is the way forwards if you can't afford your first choice there are lots of other option out there

Oh no i meant compromising other things if I let my H2b have the photographer he wants. He does beautiful stuff but I would rather have a guy who does good work similar to this guy for a slightly lesser price than have to abandon things i want that rob wants too.
Grrr hate decisions like this!

i would find another photographer with the same style but at less cost. i personally wouldnt want to compromise on other things but i do think its important to have a good photographer as they are the memories that last and you can always look back on x

this is why i am at a loss for what to do because having looked at what other people are charging in our area the one we want has a pretty good deal. Hmmm may just have to work out what i can do to save money here and there so we can keep the guy rob wants

iv made my own invitations, and stationary. bay of e has been my best friend for last few months. we have a small budget and have had to save money here and there. its possible to do good luck and hope you can come to some decision on it all :-) xx

we have had to compromise on a lot of things, we found a brilliant photographer and we fell in love with her work, there will be 2 photographers, every photo printed and a lovely album... £850!! But we really wanted her so we have cut back on everything else, we have just had to look around a lot. Good luck hun xxxx

If you saw his prices at a cheaper price can you not ask him if he can honour the prices you saw at the wedding fayre!!

apparently he was advertising his 2011 prices so he can get away with sending us a list that says 2012 prices. kinda cheeky but i suppose that is how it works.
Have managed to save on stationery as found my place cards on bay of e for £2.99 and i am hoping to get my guest bok for around £6-8. Invites shouldn't cost too much, nor my order of day etc. as gonna buy card and print them myself. I need to save money on the wedding car. Figured that i only need one as rob can get his best man to drive him to the venue and if i can get a good deal where the car will come back for me and my brother after dropping off the bridesmaids and my mun then that will be great!
I'll get there don't worry - just glad I am doing it early! :) xxx
