Well a bit of good news after my recent worry with my daughter, went to my dads last night to sort out invitations, (we were printing out poem's to put in them asking for money as gift) i took out a bottle of wine, anyway once were finshed and relaxing with a couple of glasses of wine, we got onto the subject of the budgit for the wedding and he asked how much i still had to pay i said about £2000, and he said right i will pay the rest for you. I was over the moon so so chuffed, another worry of my mind.
My daughter is also a lot happier since she told me about her wee problem, and today she even had on a short sleeved t/shirt although she was still a bit self consious and kept her arms turned in but another step forward. Thanks again to all you ladies for all your help and advise on that matter dont know what i would do without you lot.xxx

aw thats such great news...on both fronts!! what a relief for you!! with everything you are going through at the moment. You do indeed have a very lovely and generous Dad!! as for your daughter.. it may be a small step opening up and admitting to you (but as you know speaking as an ex self harmer myself) it will do wonders for your confidence and attitude when you can just admit it someone, especially you being her mom. The fact she's been able to open up and you have been extremely understanding and caring and not dived straight in with 20 questions and 'tips/advise' and stuff it will do a lot more than you realise... it may be so hard for you to just sit back and keep quiet but i promise you that is 1 of the best gifts you can give...allowing her the opportunity to talk if / when she wants.. if you do have any days where you feel you want to talk or anything please feel free to pm me... i obviously don't go out and about blasting my history from the rooftops but being experienced in that department first hand i can try and do my best to help. and scars will fade in time and she will learn to forget about them as time passes. I still have scars now on my legs that I hate but they are a part of me and a part of my past. I don't show off my legs as dont like them (coincidentally) but scars do fade and to be honest probably aren't as noticable as she thinks!
