for all of you who are marrying in a church, how many hymns have you chosen and have you chosen more than one reading.

Were not marrying in church but from memory of church weddings I have attended I think 3 is about the norm x

I'm thinking 3 or 4 hymns and 2 readings (one by the priest and one by someone we haven't decided on yet)
It's the actual hymns I think we'll struggle with as we have to pick ones that everyone knows and can join in with which are not necessarily what we know (it's an R.C. church) xx

For c of e you can choose between 2-4 hymns, we're having 3 - one after the welcome, the next after the address and before the marriage, and the last after the register signing. You need at least 1 Bible reading, we're having 2. If you want a non-Bible reading like a poem etc, you need at least one other from scripture for a church wedding :-)
