Wish I could help but I don't even know what a humanist ceremony is! Is it similar to a civil ceremony?

Ah ok, thanks CeCe. I can see the appeal of that! We don't want a religious ceremony but don't like the fact that we're restricted with what readings or music we can have for a civil ceremony, seems this would be the perfect way to have it exactly as you want!

we are having humanist ceremony have just contacted celebrant and it seems that is all i have emailed a few questions so will let you know, but as this thread is old you may have already done it all, are celebrant is charging £295 and that includes them coming to see us before the day and compiling our ceremony etc, they do do a scripted one for £150 so a friend or family member can conduct ceremony if you wanted x

I see you're from Scotland, so if you're getting married here, then the ceremony is recognised as legal (yay).
Contact the celebrant and ask if there is anything else you need to do xx
