Help! We're getting married in a church but we are looking for somewhere to have a reception/evening do that we can afford, I found some lovely places but when I've looked into them they would cost too much. I've tried hoilday inn and best western but there are none near enough. Can anybody suggest any?

We are getting married (well Reception) at the Rock hotel in Holywell Green. They are quite reasonably priced and quite flexible.
Theres also the Cedar Court at Ainley top.
Now a extremely happy German housewife and now a Mother!!!!

Thanks :) I had my heart set on the Rock Hotel and my friend just got married there too, but we were thinking we couldn't afford it. lol I might have to reconsider :)

I e-mailed Tower House Hotel to find out more about them but that was about 5 days ago and I've still not had a response so it's not looking good, I don't know if anyone can recommend it? :)
I wasn't able to go to the wedding but looking at the photos and from what people have told me it was a lovely day :)

where have you looked at so far. I am looking at getting a function room and bringing in caterers (friends who can cook/bake/etc) Beaties in elland sent me a brochure out very quickly. If your getting married in a church then the world is your oyster.xx

im having my reception at old golf house!! everything is free (honeymoon suite, the room, wedding organiser etc.) if you just cater with them.. its costing us £2700 for wedding breakfast for 50 and evening buffet for 100.. its so beautiful.. perfect for photos and the wedding organiser is very lovely xxx
