I have spent the last hour researching hotels and cab companies local to our reception venue and i plan on including these on an invitation insert as well as a map and directions. My main question is do i need to include anything else and how do i go about wording it? Is it supposed to be formal or is it literally just a plain old list of telephone numbers etc... Help!

I have a general information card with details about the venue i.e. address and map, nearby accomodation if they dont want to stay at venue, taxi numbers, dress code, gift list, the confetti issue etc. I think that was everything.

I can send you a copy of our wording once we have it but mil2b has it at the mo at the printers. I will post piccies up of everything in the invite soon anyways so hopefully you will find it useful. We did end up going to two sides though for the info card.

My invites are A5 and the inserts will be double sided too. I have sent off the information to the woman making the invites, i'll guess she'll tell me if she thinks it needs to be worded differently or not. Suzky will be interested to see yours once you've got them back from the printers x

I don't think you need to be overly formal with the info sheet - I've usually seen them as a little extra sheet popped in with the invitation with pretty normal wording :) How big an area does your map need to cover? Could you photocopy a street map or road map or something if the internet's not working out?

thanks hun, will defo post them. We have gone a lot less formal with the info sheet and just printed it on high quality card as you want the invite to stand out, not the info sheet so defo go less formal. Thats what the printers advised us to do, plus it was the only way we could fit it on haha!

futuremrsluker just seen your invites and love them. I like things that have one key feature... simple and elegant and not too fussy.... just the main key point i.e. your bow. Love them :) Very nice.
