Its taken forever to get my invites back from my mums calligripher friend, and have now decided some of the evening invites, i want to bump to the day, I can't just send them a day one instead for several reasons, 1. have no day invites left, 2. evening ones are already written out. 3. even if i had day ones would take even more time for them to come back.

So im looking at doing a insert with the invite to let them know they are actually invited to the day.
how can i word this? im rubbish at it

Can you just do a standard 1 sheet insert maybe? Giving all the ceremony etc details on it maybe something they can RSVP too? They don't need to know they were only invited to the evening originally so just make it out as if that is what the invitation is supposed to look like? x

I'm rubbish at wording! I think if you just stick details in though it will look obvious they were not originally on the list, but then you'll be surprised how many will be happy to know they were bumped up. The ones I bumped up were over the moon.

can you not call them to explain before hand and then don't need as pretty wording and can just include the details?

My friend had people to bump to day time but just told them in person so might be easier to just tell them and include the details xx

I just told mine as well. I was only having the one, and not a day and evening, so I had peeps that were not even invited who I bumped as they were top of the bump list. When I told them they were so excited.

I would just tell them too. Im not planning on bumping anyone. If we get empty seats during the day it makes it easier to plan. Our venue wants final numbers 28 days prior to the wedding day so my thoughts are, the less to feed the cheaper it will be. hmmmm, does it actually work like that???? lol

For ours we can have less guests and more to the evening but if we sign the contract at £4000 then we have to pay for £4000 of services one way or another..
