I love sam sparro's "black and gold", our colour scheme is black and gold (and champagne) and i'd love to use the song, but its got a slightly upbeat tempo and i'm not sure how to use it. any ideas?

We like alternative music many of which have unsuitable lyrics and our family may not like certain songs so we got classical tributes to the songs i think the cd was called goth wedding or something so those who like the music recognize them but its soft and gentle. We will play this when we have a meal together so it is just background music and we are having a mixed disco at the reception

LOL @ greyarea...I'm a big fan of Lords of Acid and Mindless Self Indulgence...when I suggested to H2B to having one of their songs as the first dance I got the *look* so I suggested a certain song by Modulate, that went down with the look too lol. I'll have to look for that CD you mentioned

well we're not having a wedding breakfast, having an afternoon ceremony then buffet reception, but i like the idea of playing at the ceremony while guests are waiting, and then get the dj to play it too, then everyone gets to listen to it! thanks

The Guillemots did a cover version, its on Radio 1 live lounge volume 3. You could look it up and have a listen on line then it may be useful for 1st dance or walking up the isle.
