Hi im abit lost, I want to start planning my hen and stag nights, i have a few questions,
Who pays? Do i pay for the night or do people put money together?
Who plans? Do i plan it or does the maid of honour? (i dont have one :S)
When is the best time to have one? (months before or close to wedding date)

Hope you can all help me!! :)

    xx

technically your maid of honour/bridesmaids should organise it, the majority I've been to the bride's costs are covered by the other hens but this is more a gesture on behalf of the group rather than expected - however, some brides prefer to organise their own but if they do I think it's cheeky to assume everyone else will pay for you! Usually too I've been to hen nights 3-4 weeks before the wedding, gone are the days of the last night of freedom!

All my bridesmaids are kids so that ones out of the question. I will probaly just do it as a casual night out were we all pay for ourselves like we normally would. Think thats the best idea! Good night out in lpool should do!! xx

I just asked H2B if he'd like a joint one, and he said NO WAY, so because my CB is my future SIL we coordinate, she knows the theme I want, and I'll give her details of my friends, as she don't know them, and she'll book it

I've planned mine together with my MOH, partly because there are people coming who my MOH wouldn't be able to contact such as my MIL who she has never met! I sorted out the tickets for the races and collected everyone's money in and we did get a bit of a discount, about £1.50 each, and my MOH thinks that I should expect, when handing people their £1.50 back on the day, that most will refuse and if they do then that is the cost of my ticket covered! I also know that my MOH has asked those people who are coming for the meal afterwards to all chip in £1 each to cover my meal and maybe a bit left over for a drink for me, and I believe that she has had a positive response from that as well. Further, my MOH and my auntie have both said that they will be buying me some drinks and that from their experience others are likely to buy me drinks too - if that's the case then I don't expect that the whole hen do will cost me very much at all!
