I made a post before about asking guests to pay for own meals instead of buying us presents and h2b parents kicked off and said they wasnt coming to the wedding.
Well his dad rang him today (first time since the row) and said they still very angry and MIGHT come to the wedding they still deciding as they still think we should pay for the meal & they might just come for the actual wedding and go home, then he added none of the children we invited are coming (3 of our sons cousins whom we told were coming and were really excited about) and his brother still unsure if he coming at all because of work?? hello we gave enough notice and i booked it in the hoildays so the children could come. Its all turning into a complete nightmare and me & h2b just had a massive row about it, i told him i rather none of them came if they going to be so damn picky...its a registry office wedding with a meal across the road, ita going to cheap and cheerful...or so i thought, i really want to cancel as i cant control my anger, im tempted to text them all saying exactly what i think and tell them all to do one..im too old for all this childish behaviour.
I understand h2b wants his family there but how am i suppose to deal with this, i know mil2b is slagging me off to anyone that will listen..thing is i now dont know if iv got 12 guest coming or 24..im shocked ! i booked this small wedding for no drama yet is caused more drama than the bigger do i was arranging last year, sorry for waffling its helping get it off my chest as iv spent the last few hours with so much steam coming out of my ears i thought i was going to explode.
How do i deal with this? why cant they just say they not coming and be done with it instead of purposly winding me up.

    Thanks for listening :)

i cant believe they're being so stupid about it they're happy to miss out on half their son's biggest days of his life just for the sake of paying for a dinner!! you should tell them your paying for dinner let them come and run out on the bill! (i'm joking btw lol) xx

You know what, they don't deserve to be at your big day. If they can't fork out for a cheap meal to see there son get married then I think they should get stuffed and jog right on! Selfish, horrible people. I'm so sorry hun but that's disgusting the way they are acting. I'd book 12 seats and if they turn up then stuff them, get a table added on to yours and completely blank them!

I think thats awful of them and i dont think your being at all unreasonable. Dont let their selfish behaviour ruin your plans or day, book your 12 seats and tell them to sod off! Sounds to me like even if they did turn up they would cause a fuss, probably best not to invite them at all!
