Hay girls I was just wondering if you could tell me how to cleanse and tone my skin properly, I'm not very girly and have never been shown how to do it properly, I just want my skin to be nice. Thanks

If you go to the clinique counter in boots, or may be see the ladies in the body shop , they will probably give you a demonstration! And from what I have heard the clinique range is worth testing.

One trick I was told in my salon was to tone my nose first before the rest of my face, and to let the cotton pad sit on it for an extra 1-2 seconds before wiping it away - this is because my t zone is slightly oily and the toning helps the open pores on my nose, thus reducing future blackheads etc - this may not work if you don't have an oily t zone tho!

No need to, Cleanse face and neck with cotton pad then use toner to wipe off excess cleanser, moving in same movements as you would have done with the cleanser, then use a good moisturiser and dot it over your face and neck, no need to use loads. To work into the skin Use fingertips in small circular movements
I also use an eye cream - you dont need alot of that either- use fingertips again and apply dots of eye cream around the brow line and eye sockets. Hope this is of help. : )

i sometimes double cleanse as the first time will remove surface dirt, make up and the second time will clean deeper down into the skin depending on if you are wearing make up etc. as i have a job where i get quite dusty etc. apply the cleanser in circular motions / strokes that are in an upward motion. remove with damp cotton wool or face cloth etc. then tone the skin as this rebalances the skins ph balance and helps to close the pores. then moisturise applying again in upward motions. Dont forget to do your neck as well. hope this is some help to you
