Ok, so we've asked for money for our wedding gifts as we've lived together a while and will be looking to buy a house in the next 1-2 years (to make way for my intended baby bump around then!) - we've had 2 guests say they'd rather give us an actual present, so for my uncle I've asked for cutlery, as it would be nice to have a proper matching set. With all the online discount codes we've already got a crockery set and new set of pans etc in the cupboard, so after we're married we're going to chuck out the mismatched stuff from when we first moved in together and start to use the new stuff as a whole new start to married life. His uncle has asked to get us a present too, so I was thinking maybe of glassware, so some nice matching glasses etc for when we eventually start to have dinner parties in our domestic bliss. The only problem is, how do you even start with choosing a set that you'll be keeping for years and years? I've looks on the debs and JL websites and I'm baffled - also, if I like the plainer, non-coloured ones better than the fancy ones, is this not special enough for a wedding present and should I be setting my sights higher? I am totally stumped!

I think glassware is hard to choose online. You'd be better to go in and actually lift them to get a feel for them. It'll depend what sort of weight and design you want
