Sell some items on ebay? Ask a very good family memeber for a wedding gift early? lol Its either that or wait a while until you have the funds. There is no point in getting into debt for your wedding as it will only stress you out and then you won't enjoy it as much.

Have you found a venue yet? If not then start saving NOW! most venues want 500 for a deposit then when you find one if you havent got it all yet ask them if you can give them what you do have and you'll pay the rest within a month or so.
We did this with our last venue (paid 200 of a 500 deposit but we lost it as they didnt do what we wanted when we changed plans, now we have gone back to the orginal plans they want 500 again so weve lost it but were going to a better venue lol) and they were fine as long as we paid the rest within a time limit.

OMG Mrs Hinch 2B £2000 thats a bit steep :(........

OneDayMrsSmith, i would ask if they could pencil you in for the date your wanting and if any other couples enquire about it if they could call you and you could let them know where your up to. Can parents not help towards the cost at all??

Awwww....maybe you could ask them to pencil you in. No harm in asking, plus it's potential business for them so I can't see them saying no. I do think that some venues have to high a deposit though.

Yeah, I can always ask. I don't even know yet, we haven't seen what they do yet! But it's the ideal location and it's pretty place :) x

I'm sure they would hold they date for you if you explain your situation, and then let you know if someone else shows interest if you haven't put deposit down xx

I would definately say sell some stuff on ebay, thats what ive been doing. It wont raise enough for deposits but it will give you money to buy the little things that you couldnt afford otherwise.

Ours was 800 and I admit we put it on the credit card but only because we knew we could pay it off in 2 months and we did..... its a slippery slope otherwise (and weve had to use it for a few unplanned expenses in the last couple of weeks so Im so glad we'd cleared the earlier wedding stuff)

Ive sold loads on ebay for the wedding fund....about 700 pounds over the year since we booked it, it soon adds up x

Some of our deposits are going to have to go on a credit card, theres no way we have the money for big things upfront but if you can find a 0% credit card its not so bad.

I will have to look round and see what we can sell! Luckily for me, Marks an artist so maybe we can sell pictures on bay!
