    My flower girls are 10, 9, 5 and 3.

The wedding isn't for 10 months yet, and we've found the perfect dresses.
But I'm not sure when to have the girls measured up for them.

They are all growing and I'm struggling to figure out when to get their outfits.
They are from a shop who will measure and fit them.
I know it's too soon now, but when I asked the shop they just said 6 weeks lead time for the dresses.

I'm not leaving it till exactly 6 weeks before the day as it'll cut it too fine if there's a problem, but don't want the girls to outgrow them. Kids can change a lot in a short space of time.

What did you do/how are you planning this part?

My mum is dealing with my flower girl aged 7, and page boy aged 6. My wedding is six weeks today and I think she's just started looking. We're just buying of the rack, so didn't look early, as we knew it would be too early to buy.

30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

From the beginning I absalutely loved the Estella dress from M8nsoon and new this is what my FG would be wearing on the day, I would note my wedding is not until Aug 2015. Orginally I was going to get ivory but in the Jan sales earlier this year I spotted they had a ltd edition red one and it would tie in with my dress beautifully. However they only had it in 6-7 and my niece is 4 next month. HOWEVER she is VERY tall for her age and in fact currently wear 4-5 and sometimes 5-6 clothing. Decided I was going to take the gamble and bought it.

She tried it on during a recent visit with her mum (my best friend) and apart from being only slightly too big she near fitted in it perfectly! There will likely need to be adjustments done next year because though she is tall she is very skinny like her dad so it will likely need taken in.

I've looked at off the peg ones, but these are actually about £10 cheaper than the BHS ones, and softer.

if you want to get them and are worried about growing, get them a size up and then they can always have them brang in nearer the time if they have not grown as much as you thought

Ive bought mine already, got them last weekend as I fell in love with them. My FGs will be just under 2&4. I bought off the rack and bought them for the ages, which look fine to me. One of the FGs nannies is a seamstress so can alter them if needed but I don't think they'll be a problem.

    Thank you all,

    Put my mind at rest!
We're going to stick with our plan and get them all together towards the end of the summer holidays. At least we can arrange a weekday without taking them out of school.

One of them (the 5 year old) hasn't met the other 3 (who are sisters), so we are planning to make a day if it. Take them out for a treat as well and let them play together so they feel comfortable with each other on the big day.

I am so worried about our flower girls - they arrive from Australia the day before the wedding. Their grandparents visited OZ in January and fetched back their dresses (2 and 6 years old). I dont even know if they are coming with shoes let alone if the dresses I have hanging here will fit - eek!

I ordered the dress for our FG end of January for our May wedding, we ordered it slightly too big for her so it fit her perfectly on the day, absolutely no alterations required. My sister did the same for her FG's, got the dresses slightly too big 3 months before the big day.
