I'm a May 2018 bride, and most advice I'm hearing is not to dress shop until a year ahead max. but I'm wary of missing the sales. Does anyone know what months UK bridal salons tend to hold their sales in? And how soon is too soon to dress shop?

I bought my dress a couple of months ago and we're not getting married until September 2017. There is definitely no harm in looking now. Just make sure that you're 100% sure that you're happy with the dress before buying. x

I think it is all down to personal preference and when you want to. I am a May 2018 bride myself and I will be going in May next year to buy the dress but may shop before hand.

I get married this september and i put ny deposit down on my dress last november. I really dont think it matters.
I got engaged in Feb 16 and getting married in May 17, i went dress shopping a few days after getting engaged, i was too excited lol and wanted to get an idea of what dresses i liked. The bridal shops have designed weekends, and special offer weekends a couple of times a year too so definitly keep an eye out for them! xx
