i think it depends on the child ......i know some 8 yrs who couldn't be trusted and some 5 yrs olds who would be as good as gold

I agree with lala, you need to judge the characters of the children really. We aren't having a kids table, they will be sat with their parents so that they can make sure that they behave themselves! xxx

It depends; I know a lot of parents who would prefer to be sat with their child - for some youngsters it might be there first experience of formal dining, and particularly if they don't know the other kiddies, it could be a bit daunting...
Four might be a bit wee, but of course it does depend on the individual child - some four to six year olds I know wouldn't be comfortable from sitting away from there parents, and some would love it.
I'd maybe check with the other parents, particularly if you have older kids as well who might take umbrage at being sat on the kiddies table...xx

I'd say about 10 upwards but then some of my 10 upwards cousins when place together would probably be a nightmare whereas some of my younger cousins would be good as gold xxx

It depends on the ages and the entertainment being provided. A lot of parents will keep there children entertained with phones or the child will have their own. Some parents would rather their children sit with them and at about 10 - 12+ most children would not enjoy being at the kiddies table.
How many children will be at your do?

It depends on the ages we have children with ages ranging 5 months to 8 years obviously the younger ones can't sit at a table but we will be sitting the 3+ together they all know each other and the children coming to the day will be the only ones at the evening too don't want people invited to the evening bringing children x

I would want my children sat with me just because I know my daughter (7) would be nervous and wouldn't stay their anyway and my son (4) would be a little swine and wind everyone up!
I do think it depends on the child as I know my cousin's who are 4 and 5 would be quite well behaved and I know their parents would be quite happy for them to be on a kiddy table
like the other's have said it may be worth having a chat with the parents and seeing who's happy to do what xx

Personally I'd keep the child with the parent until around the age of ten. But this does depend on the maturity of the child. X
