Apologies if this has been asked before but I am wondering how much is an average price for flowers? I have been quoted approximately £1500 to decorate a huge ballroom, 2 other rooms and all my tables (around 10) and wondered if this was silly money. xxx

I havent yet got my quote yet hun, a family friend who is a florist is making ours for free all we have to pay for is the cost of flowers etc! So cannt really give u a comparison price. I think it depends on where your main priorities lie....some brides would vote flowers as being top of their expense list and others wouldnt! Personally I would not spend this amount of money on flowers, but perhaps would be happy to do so elsewhere. xx

I'm thinking I can cut it down as I would really like to use candle as well and I can supply them myself (from Primark, lol). The only reason I am using the venue's recommended supplier is because of the massive size of the rooms and the tables. xxx

my hairdresser gave me the number of a florist who did all someone weddings flowers for £100, as much as i like a bargain i would be worried about the quality for that price, think i would want to see a sample of their work first xx

I budgeted £1000 for my flowers, but when we spoke to the florist we have be quoted £350 for all our flowers!! for this we get my boquet, 4 bridesmaid boquets, rose petals for 3 flowergirls, 12 button holes, 2 mothers corsages, 3 thank you boquets, 10 pew ends, and a large pedastal display for the church!

she has also said if we need more church flowers she will do them for an extra £50. this includes the set up of flowers in the church and her petrol!! :) think its a good bargin!! xx
