I'm having a 3 or 4 tier cake, probably chocolate sponge rather than fruit with chocolate sugar crafted roses cascading down the middle. we have a family friend who bakes cakes and done a lovely 2 tier cake for my son's christening, so she will probably charge in the region of £150-£200! I can't seem to bring myself to justify £500 for a cake like some of the quotes i've had!!x

yes we ordered 1x extra large in fruit, 1 x large in sponge and 1 x medium in sponge, they come ready iced in either white or ivory on a cake board, we have topper and putting ribbon round each tier. we ordered online and when we got to checkout they were 3 for 2 so it cost £80! and you can pick what day to collect from your local store :) x

21st October 2011 will be the best day of my life!!!

We are having the "wedding cake" with three fruit tiers on an S-stand that my sister bought me on Ebay. My Dad is going to make it so it will not cost us anything. We are planning to decorate it with silk ivy wrapped around the stand between the cakes and flowers on the top of each tier. Neither of us like fruit cake but we wanted to have the traditional cake and then we are planning to serve it instead of dessert and have other options like plain sponge, chocolate cake etc available at the same time.

We were going to have one bakery make our 80 cupcakes and a big cupcake on top but we got the samples and they tasted awful! and they were going to charge £210.

We've recently gone for a different company who's cupcakes are to die for! and they are only charging us £100 for the 80 cupcakes and big top cupcake!

I'm having a 5 tier stacked cake, ivory iced with pearls and clear & pink crystals on it topped with our initials in swarovski crystal. It consists of 12" fruit, 10" chocolate, 8" jam sponge, 6" lemon and 4" jam sponge costing £590 inc £20 delivery and set up. They are making a complimentary 6" carrot cake decorated the same. Couldn't have it on the stack due to weight issues as I only want a small one

I'm a cake maker/decorator but there was no way I was going to make my own cake.....lol I want it done for me like any other bride :))) xx
