    Well as ppl are already complaining about my dress budget im not sure if i should say lol
    I will say however that i have my own business that i have made very successful as does my other half, which is how we met at a business meeting lol.
    We are paying for everything ourselfs from profits from both and because of an inheritage i was left five years ago and have not really done anything with.

    To me it doesnt matter how big or small your budget is, its about having the day you want.....no matter the cost!

    we worked out how much we could save per month and took a bit off just incase we didnt hit those targets. It left us with a pretty nice sum so we basically worked out what was important to us and allocated a set figure based on researching what we wanted in that area, then looked at what was left for other areas. We felt the venue and the entertainment were the biggies, as are the rings and honeymoon so they took priority. The original budget was 12k but after working out savings and doing the research on what we wanted the wedding inc honeymoon and rings is now in excess of 30k if that helps. However, we have said that if we did it again, would we really spend all this money on one day or would we spend it on a house? Therefore, I suggest you budget to have a fab honeymoon as this lasts more than one day :)

    Hello! Welcome to the site! x

    One thing you will find on this site is lots of help re: budgeting. There are ladies with £500 budgets and ladies with £30,000 budgets. I think you can do it four ways;
    1) Look at your monthly income, see how much you can save and base it on your final figure,
    2) Find out how much your family can offer, see how much you already have and make that your budget,
    3) Plan to marry in two/three years' time and pay as you go (dangerous if you change your mind about your choices),or,

    3) Take out a loan (if you are in a position to).

    Do you know what type of wedding you want? This might dictate how much you need.
