I think maybe I am just a cheepskate......
My H2B isnt wearing a wedding ring at all, and my wedding ring came from Rowletts the Jewellers. a 2mm yellow gold band...I didnt choose it because of the price, I wanted a thin ring ever since I saw Katherines when she married Prince William, I thought how nice and simple and elegant it looked and thats what I wanted. And the kicker is......It was only £50.....and its not flimsey or thin, its nice and weighty........what a bargain....( a bit cheaper than Katherines i bet!)

How much did you pay for your rings....... am I the cheapest here? but it really doesnt bother me cos i wouldnt change it, because I love it.

We're looking at getting ours from an independent jeweller, and so far, the jeweller I like best has quoted me £550 for a custom-made 9ct white gold and diamond band for me, £170 for a 3mm heavy-weight plain palladium D-shaped band for me, and £275 for a 5mm D-shaped medium-weight palladium band for OH; so, around £1k total.

I had originally planned to get a platinum band, and have my e-ring reshanked in platinum, which would have cost around £1.5k, but decided against it. Instead, I'm planning on treating myself to a £3K platinum and diamond right-hand ring when I finish my PhD :-)

I dont think the cost of the ring matters!! I had this convo with H2b the other day, as I would like a simple band as i have a diamond e-ring with a main stone and then diamonds down the side....I think we are looking at £100 each tops. He's not even keen on having one (as he doesn't wear jewellry - but I have advised him that he will be wearing one! hehe) At the end of the day, if in 20 years time we need to get new ones, then so be it! x

H2b's ring will probable be a tungsten one in a platinum colour. Maybe less than £50

Ours were £1400 for both. Mine's 3mm platinum with 8 diamonds (4 each side of the curve) and I designed it myself, and hubby's is 6mm palladium with bevelled edge. We got a 40% discount on them too, according to the certificate of insurance! I know it may seem expensive, but we both agreed that we wouldn't skimp on these as they're the thing that will stay with us from the day forever (apart from each other, of course LOL)!

H2b is looking a a titanium ring with a brushed steel band (I think that's what it is) for around £200. Mine is 18 ct white gold, it's being made to fit around my engagement ring and it's a bargain at £375.

I struggled to find one to fit my e-ring as it sticks out and flat rings didnt sit properly and the only twisted one they had was sparkly :)

    kaya & James.....thats a really nice idea....
H2B doesnt want a ring, and i am fine with it, and really its a relatively new for men to wear a wedding ring, and in a strange way, I really want it the 'old fashioned way', and as we're having a vintage wedding theme I suppose it fits in there too....call me weird but
its what I want, and its somewhat unusual these days.

we've been quoted about £1000 for ours - mine will be platinum to match the e-ring, h2b's palladium as that's a bit cheaper for big rings! then we get a 20% discount as bought the e-ring in same local jewellers so i guess around 800... seems ours are on the pricey side :(

well david said he wanted to spend a fair bit on the rings as these are to keep so he has gone for a platinum band with black diamonds for abour 2k (we got a deal on this tho but not sure how good a deal yet haha but had quotes up to 3k bloody hell for just plain platinum) so is having that made in april. I went for an eternity band in platinum believe it or not made of 0.90 carats pretty diamonds for about 2k aswell. I love it. It matches my e.ring as this had to be changed due to the problems we had with it so its nice it all matches. I have mine here but hubby to be wants to wait until he loses weight incase he looses podge off his finger haha!

Mine was £250 and husband's was £325. We bought them from F Hinds. I found mine online but when I saw it in the shop it looked just as good (patterned yellow gold). Husband couldn't decide at first, but wanted something that wasn't too shiny as he doesn't usually wear jewellery. We trekked round most of the high street jewellers - then he finished up back at F Hinds as well and his is a brushed, matt yellow gold.

Price wise, I dont really want to go no more than £800 for both of ours.

We are having a look on Saturday - We are probably going to spend around 200-300 on mine (it has to be made because of the shape of my engagement ring) and 100-200 on my mans. Will find out for certain on Saturday - luckily my man works for a jewellary shop and our rings will be worth a bit more than we pay for them :-)
