How much is your hair and make up costing, plus trials?
also how much is you bms hair and/or makeup costing?

I wana get a feel as to what the average is!

Hair and make up trials are £40 per person for both (£20 each)

On the day I'm £80 for hair and make up (£40 each)
BM £70 for hair and make up (£35 each)
MOB £35 for make up

One lady does both

Makeup is costing £80 with trial and hair is costing £40 with trial, hair is a bit cheaper as my normal hairdresser is doing it and as she's classed more of a friend now she's doing mates rates x

Mine is £80 trial and £120 on the day, £30 hair and £30 make up for BMs on the day :)

my makeup is £75 including a trial. and my hair is £60 including trial. Bridesmaids makeup is £25 x

When I first looked at how much this cost I was flabbergasted!!!!

One of friends is a make up artist and another is a hairdresser, so based on how much the hairdresser changes me for highlights, cut,wash, blow dry and style (£50) I'm hoping it will be around £20 pp for hair and then about the same for makeup with our other friend!! X

Mine is 250 for myself, three bridesmaids and flower girl including trial for me! Xx

Make up £40 for bride £30 each for every one else
Hair £50 for bride £30 or £20 depending on hair up or cut and blow dry but if she takes 6 bookings I get mine done free. I think that's good considering she's opening her hairdressers on a Sunday just for my guests

I am a makeup artist and find that anyone who charges ove £50 on the day is pretty much ripping u off.. i charge petrol on top for far away venues etc but some people take the mickey!! i have come across many makeup artists who charge between £80 and £120 for just the bride! And they dont even use the top of the range professional brands (you know the ones i mean i know im not allowed to put them haha but M*C and B*RE *MIN**A*S)

ALWAYS have a trial. it is not a waste of money. a waste of money is paying £80 and hating it!!

im doing my own but i have the advantage of it being my job!

My hair will be around £30 as i'm just going to have it curled and pinned loosely on the day, no fancy up do.
My makeup is free as my sister is a beauty therapist so she will sort out me and my mum.
Bridesmaid can get their own hair and makeup done, there is a salon at the back on my mums house so we will all go there and have our hair done and if they want theirs doing they can..I'm not paying for it as i think 2 or 3 of the girls will want to do their own hair as it's short short and it's not in my budget anyway.
As for their makeup they can all do their own, i will obviously guide them as to how i want them to look but i know that i have fussy ladies who don't like other people doing their faces!

Eyebrown shape, lash an brow tint ( which im not interested in ) nail paint for fingers and toes and wedding make up with trial for £99 or £65 for just make up with trial and £25 for bms and mob

I'm having a nightmare trying to find someone who is good but not ripping me off. ..... have been quoted from £60 - £160 just for my make up! If anyone knows of any good make up artists in the Manchester area can you please let me know.

Im really confused with hair and make up, I have 1 leaflet for make up only, 2 for hair only and 2 that does both, And they all price things differently,Trying to work out what would be cheapest, as im on a budget

one of the hair does not give bridal prices at all, so have messages waiting for a reply
one hair says bride is £75 plus £35 trial and bms £50. £25 for JBM(under 12) and £10 for FG(under 5)
Make up one I have says £65 for bride including Trial, £25 for bms and mob
One hair and makeup I have says £150 for bride , £80 for Bms and mob , £20 for hair for JBM and £10 for FG
and the other hair and makeup one is £185 (but does not say if it includes trial) for bride and £110 for bms and mob and gives price for a trial for bridal party for makeup at £20 and does not give prices for younger bridal party members

So as far as I can work our If I use the hair and makeup 1 : it will be £400, for hair and make up for me,2bms,make up for mob plus hair for JBM and FG (- £30X3 so £310 for me to pay)
and If I use the 2 separate Hair person and Makeup person it will cost £385 ( - £25X3 so £310 for me to pay)
I have said I will pay for their hair and that I they want makeup will have to pay for themselves, they have said thats fine and one has said shes happy to pay to have her make up done as shes not confident doing hers.

Ah they work out the same price I don't know whether its a better idea 2 have 2 separate people so one can be doing 1 person and 1 another or to go for the one with the Bare minerals make up.

I've been quoted £22 for make up only £17.50 for bms
So I might just do my own hair, I'm a qualified hairdresser or might just go to the hairdressers and get a curly blowdry........ Xx

^that does not sound to bad to me Kay mine in going to be £150 for hair an makeup including trial.

^ yeah HD is expence, I looked into it, but for the money I decided I would prefer to spend it else where
