I was thinking of trying to be a skin flint on this one and get away with just me having a bouquet and doing most of the decorations myself, so nothing near this league! I bet it would look gorgeous though xx

I get flowers as part of my wedding package abroad, I'm really not a big fan, so probably wont have any at my reception, I will have an alternative. I will probably just by flowers as gifts!

pinkalice yeah i almost fainted, thats was with a well know florist and was for 9x centre pieces that where hi ball martini glasses with a full dome of white roses with diamantes and white feathers. i almost fainted as that was twice as much as our whole flower budget so have changed the centre pieces around and changed the florist as well and am now happy with the flowers that we are having more so than the expensive ones xx

Im with you Fairy and pinkalice... £2000!!!!!!!!!!!

No way in hell would I pay that for some flowers!!! I didn't really have a budget but in total I would say our's are coming to know more than £250, we are having silk and wooden roses though and not real, didn't wanna waste a load of money on something that last's a couple of days!!!

However if you can afford £2000 then go for it!!!

we have been quoted £350 which is for real flowers, roses, lilies and greenary.
    This includes:
a teardrop boquet for me,8 button holes,1 bridesmaid posy,3 flowergirl baskets (basket already bought),2 coursages, top table arrangement, 8 centre pieces (lily vases already bought).
We are just waiting for a quote for the arch at the church and pew ends.
I thought this was a good price!

We've saved £800 but would rather it came in under that. We can't have flowers in the church as its lent so that'll save a bit :-) x

Just booking appointments with florists at the moment, and really not sure what to expect..... I'm only having my bouquet and 2 bridesmaids posies. I don't really know what the crack is with buttonholes. Anyone know who is supposed to have them? I thought everyone was supposed to have one at the ceremony....

I had budgeted £200 but I think that was quite low. We aren't having floral centrepieces and our venue is paying £70 for flowers on the top table. H2B's cousin is doing them for us, she's just starting a business so it works out quite well!

I budgeted £1000 for flowers and a further £250 for decorations!
When we wnt to the florist we came out with a bill for £352.50! loads of money saved there and when we ordered ballons and decorations we walked out with a bill for £125.00!! so have saved quiet a bit of money!

We got a fab deal with the flowers: my bouquet, 4 adult bridesamaids, rose petals for 3 flower girls, 12 button holes, 2 mothers corsages, 3 thank you boquets, cake flowers, and church flowers! all roses and calla lillies!!

My ballon decorations are a ballon cluster on each table (10 tables) arch on the cake table, arch on the main table, ballons in the entrance of the room, and sprinkle confetti on all the tables!

shopping around is a big moeny saver!! xx
