how much is everyone paying for their hair and make-up trials ? is it me or should they be free if they want you to book their services !

I'm paying £70 for the trial and £90 for the day itself for hair and makeup, but that was a special offer. Most I've seen were £150 for the day and £100 for trial. Totally agree with you, it's such a ripoff paying for the trial but I guess they need to protect themselves against people claiming they're getting married to get free makeup for a night out or something.

My trial for Make-up is 40 and my trial for hair is 25 but they are both family friends. Some companies ask you to pay for the trial but then if you go aheadit comes off the final bill. Shop around its been easier for me s my friends are doing it but if they weren't I wuld only settle for best its an important part of your overall look xx

Im doing the make-up myself.....i think (mite get someone to do it). Hair is costing £30 for me and sister at trial and £30 for the day for both of us.

dont forget ladies to wear a t-shirt the same colour as your dress so you get to see how your make up will look next to your dress on the day!! x

Doing my own makeup (beauty therapist) but then again I don't know because I tend to put layerrsss onto my face because if you can see an inch of my skin then I hate it however I know how I like my makeup but I want to look natural urghhh! My friends a hair dresser so its all good in that department x

I have a friend doing my hair for me for free (gosh i love that word!) and my bessie mates daughter has been summoned to do my nails/make-up (her dad summoned and didnt ask the poor lass) but her dad is paying that as a gift for me, so luckily i'm not having to pay for either x

My hair trial is free!! Then £40 on the day for me and £25 each for my bridesmaids. My friend who used to be a make up artist is doing all the make up on the day free of charge too! x

Im so glad ive got a friend doing my hair make up and nails and isnt going to charge me a fortune then the best man is going to pay 1/3 he did say he would pay for it all until he found out it was for me and my 2 bridesmaids and it wasnt just hair

my hair trial was £15,but on the day for me and my bridesmaids ,son and glenn its £75 my make up trial was in with the over all package and im paying £150 for that but it should of been £200,shes a good friend and im an excelent customer so i got a little discount lol

That makes me feel better Tiggs that you're paying a similar amount for your make-up. On a previous thread everyone else was paying far less than me, and I started to feel a bit bad. I wasn't going to bother getting my make-up done but then I decided it is the one day in my life I can say "blow it! and spoil myself!!! x

my make up is being done by a benefit makeup consultant,wev been friends for years,and iv been going in and trying different colours out,shes using top quality products and when i had my trial done the make up stayed on all day!!!!,,,,at one point i was thinking of doing it myself but glenn said to me,its your one chance to have everything done for you and feel special,i dont mind paying that price,shes fab and the makeup result is fab,very natural but with the focus on my eyes,really sparkly shes using diamond dust!!!!,,,dont feel bad about it at all hun,im not lol

im lucky my best friend is awsome at these kind of things she will be doing my hair and makeup and all my bridesmaids too but she is MOH but she hates other people doing her own but loves doing others she cant wait lol

£25 for nails £40 for lashes £30 for make up (without foundation, have too get our own)
looking back on some of the prices i think this isnt too bad..xxx

i am paying £95 in total, that is for the trials my hair and makeup on the day, my daughters hair and makeup on the day and the petrol cost of them coming to me on the day as well xx

I'm paying £50 for my hair trail and for the day. As for make up I've decided not to pay someone as I feel its far to expensive. I'm having a friend do mine and we'll practice before then. I dont wear make up at all and dont know how to apply it, so anything will look good on me lol xx

Im having a bridal pack in one of my local hairdressers.. its like 50-70 pound you get make-up nails and hair done.. wow i sound cheap compared to everyone else lol and i know all the girls that work there so i get a bit of discount off that price..

I know I shouldnt rub it in, but mine is free as my cousin is a beautian so is doing mine and my bm's makeup for free. Im very very lucky!

My sister did a make-up course at college and (as she's bridesmaid and that would put too much stress on her) one of her mates is doing my hair and make-up(she is doing her hairdressing course now, will be in her final year when I get married. x

Mine is costing me £280 for mine and my 3 bms hair trials, hair on the day and a goody bag full of beauty products. My make-up is £20 on the day, not sure how much the trials are for that yet x

One of my friends is a hair dresser, so he's doing my trials :P and I've been at college with loads of beauty therapists, so have loads of friends willing to do my make up for free/cheap :) x I am just lucky though x

my hair trial plus on the day will be £50 and the makeup trial plus on the day is £65, but not had the trials yet as have a long time to wait x
I have know my soulmate for 27 years and on the 6th August
I married him and became Mrs Garnham.
It was most definitely the happiest day of my life.

Lucky enough to be getting my makeup done for free as bm is a beautician! She will also be doing makeup for the other 2 bm's as well! Hair will cost approx £25 for me and £25 for each bm (x3) and my mother! Dont know how much they are planning to charge for my daughter who is flowergirl!xxx
