well someone asked me for £52 for their hen do and i said sorry i can't do that.

i think i would pay up to £25 maybe £30 depends what your doing. i would pay this for a group of us to go somewhere to do something rather than just a night out

I've paid from £350 for a weekend away in Dublin to £40 for some cocktails and a dance lesson! Think it all depends on your group of friends and what it is your planning on doing.
I'm having a meal and night drinking in Leeds for everyone, so people can choose if they want to come to all or part of it and then having a spa night away with my BM's which they've agreed too - done it this way so that I still get a big night out with loads of people and them some quality time away with my BM's which i'm really looking forward too :-) xx

I set a limit with my sis for £100 each but most cant even afford that! So just going for a night out, no fuss or going away we will have a fab time and me, my sis, best mate and mum are going for a pamper day closer to the wedding to make up for not being able to go away x

    what about your men?

My partners stag do is coming in at £270 for a 2 night stay in bristol with 4 activity 'man day' e.g quads etc, this includes accommodation, beer, food and petrol. Do you think this is too much to ask people to pay?

Simon is going on a 2 day mini cruise to amsterdam at a cost of £52 pounds each which is fab, then maybe £150 towards food and drinks. I thought it was alot but the lads are willing to pay it (for obvious reasons) so happy days for simon. Wish my mates would be willing to pay but xmas is comming up and mst have kiddies so i cant expect too much xx

I was gobsmacked at how much mine cost......by the time I counted in flights, accomodation, entertainment, trainfare, food etc....I had over £400 to pay out!!!! Not my choice I may add, I had nothing to do the arrangements and tbh, could have done without that kind of expense. xx

I'm having a spa dip and dine session during the day for all mine and my H2Bs family and close friends which is costing £40 but includes lunch and full use of the facilities, I'm then going to go for a pirate themed meal at a bar and grill house in the evening followed by a night out in town. The spa day is mainly for elderly and younger guests as they are either not old enough or won't want to go out during the evening ( bridesmaids, grandmas etc) my H2B is doing an all day paintballing session followed by an indian and a night in town, we've tried to keep it as low cost as possible but with the fun factor x

I looked at a weekend away but was informed that people couldn't afford the £100 prior to booking so looked at other things instead. We're now going to the races at a cost of £28 each, then a meal afterwards (and town for more drinks after that for the more hardcore of us lol). People have been more enthusiastic about that as they have been able to pick and choose which part they can afford to come along for x

Im not sure how much mine is however my MOH has told me that everyone i wanted to come has paid so thats good, i was wondering this though as i am planning my MOH's hen and i am unsure of how much people would be willing to pay. I spose it depends on how good of friends they are, i know if i had the money i would pay anything to make sure i went on her hen party...

i think stags are much more willing to pay a fortune for a stag do, my h2b hasnt quite decided what he's doing yet but its goin to be about £200! my hens are totally rubbish lol and are refusing to pay more than £30! i hate the area i live in so dont want a local night out and had kinda got my hopes up to go to the races and as i have 3 year old twins a night away doesnt happen often so i have insisted on that for my MOH and BMs! all in all its come to around £150 for 2 days, all food and races included...which i think is cheap for a hen do! the last one i went to cost £200 without food and drink included :-/ maybe ask your hens how much they are willing to pay or set up a savings account for you all where you can all put a small amount a week/month in and it'll be plenty by the time of your hen do xx

Mine was hen spa day and it was £70 each, although my MOH and I stayed there the night before too so that cost us £130 each, my H2B's stag do is go karting and thats £60 for a mini grand prix, but he's also playing golf with 5 of them which is about £30 extra.

Some paid money monthly into my savings account, some just paid in one lump sum

My hen do this weekend is costing £120 each.
This includes recording studio hire (we're doing posh karaoke!), photo shoot for our CD cover (ha ha!), drinks and nibbles, comedy club entry, night club entry, train travel and accomodation for two nights in London.
I thought all of those bits make it a bargain price for the amount we're doing.
Unfortunately it has been too expensive for one of my friends. However all of the others have been willing to work extra shifts or save as they know we're going to have an amazing time!
    I'm so excited!

I have just started to look into mine ( i am arranging myself as its alot easier!) I want to hire a hummer limo for 16 people, gain guestlist access to a good club and get some drinks thrown in to the deal, so far i am getting quoted £44 p/p for the limo...which is good i though as there is also champagne included too :) we wouldnt pay much less then that for a cab on the way home after midnight! and so far free club access if i get on the guest list....but its not till next year, so cant see that being an issue. My ladies would have to pay for their own drinks in the club etc....
before we go out i will ask them to come over and bring a dish, so we all have something to eat...thats kinda free and we will be making some cocktails too :0) i recon it will be a good night on a low-ish budget....

I am going abroad with about ten girlies for a long weekend costing about 250 for flight hotel ;) all inclusive and drinks at bars is all we have to buy!! The girls want to do this then just doing a little night out in home town for people who can't afford the hen weekend abroad x

The lads are going to Prague or Amsterdam and I think they are spending about 500!! Most are in forces and don't care how much it costs but I would afford 500!

I think it depends where and what you are doing to be honest.
If your planning to go abroad then give plenty of notice so they can save up etc
Personally i would say anything over £50 give them 6 months min notice.

Mine is roughly costing £150 but Im going to send out invites 14 months before so they can save and i get it all paid up 4 weeks before we go

I think it depends on how long you've got to plan and what you want to do! :0)

Mine is £57 each but it's been broken down to a £10 deposit (everyone has paid), with £25 to pay a month before we go (in 7 months!) and £22 each for the return coach (5 of us paid for that so far which is the holding deposit and the remainder on the day.

That is bed and breakfast for all of the girls (and the coach driver!) and VIP free entry into loads of clubs and bars so bargain price!

There's something to suit everyone's budget-especially reading this thread. :0)

    Can't wait to be married!

Everyone is different Hun, my hen do is costing £220 for 5 days in magaluf and plus spends whilst there. to begin with I had a few people saying they couldn't afford it but there's 20 people booked on! I gave everyone the option to come who wanted to n explained I would have a night out at home for those who couldnt come. Luckily most of my friends were up for a girly holiday regardless of costs!
The other half is going to benidorm for 3/4 days n about £180 for flights n hotel + spends

Mine cost £73 a head, which is a lot but I made sure I gave them plenty of notice. They had months to pay in installments and save up when they can (actually, my MoH still owes me because I paid for hers because she couldn't figure out the online payment, haha).

I think higher priced hen/stag nights aren't too bad as long as you give plenty of advance notice. When one of my old friends from school got married last year, her MoH contacted me the week before the hen party to tell me that it will cost £40 plus the trip into London. Given that I had assumed that the hen night had come and gone and I hadn't been invited and I was only on an 8 hour contract, £40 was way too much for me on a weeks notice. So I ended up not going. Had she told me a month earlier, I would have put aside the money.

im having a home pamper evening, getting a mobile beauty therapist to come round and do manicures/pedicures/facials/eyebrows that way everyone can be included. The max it will cost for the evening will be £40 depending on what you ask to have done.

And h2b is going on a fishing weekend with his closest friends so that wont cost much either as they are already members at the lake.

Can't wait to be Mrs Attew :-)
