Me and OH both put in £75 in the bank every week and pay things off as we go along, spent around £700 on deposits and bits of the venue and have about £350 saved for other things so far!! only another 5k to go!!!

We took out a small loan to get the ball rolling...only took out 2k, it meant we got all our deposits down...my h2b is a salesman and a very good one, so november he gets a huge bonus,plus as of january he is being promoted to manager so will get even more bonus each month :p and we will be able to put 2k back in the savings to replace the loan we have spent....we've got a good package deal with our hotel reception, which is only costing us about £1600 for 50day guests and 80 evening....if we get stuck...we will be whipping out a credit card, but if that happens if will only be for a couple of hundred here and there...
We are currently selling stuff on the bay of E and anything from that goes in our savings...we are having a budget wedding, but its still going to be brilliant- I wouldnt want a posh wedding..I want to enjoy myself..not feel like a ponce all day lol xx

Hi all we have paid 200 in deposits so far and have put 150 in the wedding pot but its pay day next week :) so will hopefully manage to pay the last deposits and then starttt saving properly not to bad for having only been saving a montth though :) x
We've got just over £200 in our account, but we've not transferred the savings capital yet, that'll happen when we start paying for things. Got to start somewhere right :)

Oh girls i hate this savings malarkie!! I am nowhere near what i need and i only have a 2k budget including honeymoon!! I cant have a big wedding as im a student.. Although i wouldnt want a big wedding anyway so im happy :) s

Our wedding is costing 10K!!!!! not including our honeymoon ( it's our wedding present form our guests) We started at 7K and it keeps rising even though we have got Loads of bargains. I can't imagine how much we would have spent if we got everything full Price!!!!! It does feel good to know that we have saved so much with time to save more. Also we still have our parents that want to contribute a little too. A
