I didn't have a very expensive engament ring, but would love us to both have really nice wedding rings. My Dad has given me my Great Grandmas wedding ring which is 18ct yellow gold plain band, it is quite wide and heavy, but I really wanted white gold for both of us..... I was thinking £150/ 200 per ring, can't really afford any more than that. What you all spending? sorry to be nosey... any ideas for rings would be great too! ;) Kaye xx

We looked at loads.. my brother just quit from being a jeweller and said price hardly ever reflects the quality. In fact ours are better quality than some of the ones that were £400+
I couldn't imagine spending 1k + for rings.
CommentAuthorMrs Daltry

*gets a fan and revieves cupcake *.......... it is white and yellow gold with a diamond band between ....
mines a white gold band set with alternate spahhires and diamonds - but im having the sapphires changed for tanzanite. It cost £124, and its an old vintage pice which i love. I dont care that its not new - it has history and i like vintage. Besides, it will be new to me and when i get the tanzanite in it and have had it made bigger - i like to think it will be custom made for me!

CommentAuthoralibum

My engagement was V. expensive from birmingham jewellery quater, so just want a plain 18ct band not to take the view away for such a stunner, thinking £300-£400 for mine, up to £1000 for h2b as he want platinum x
CommentAuthorspooney24
Mine is going to be about £100 and Paul is going for a titanuim one about £40-£50. I have a gift card for £50 that I got as an engagement present for H Samuel so will buy mine from there. Paul is getting his from ebay. x

my ring was 179 pound reduced to 36 pound lol bargain!xxx (sorry my pound sign is broken).
CommentAuthorDrunchPunk
My OH wants a titanium ring, which is apparently very hardwearing but they all come out price-wise at under £100. Which suits me fine, I can spend more on mine! My e-ring is platinum, so I want my w-ring to be platinum as well, but I only want a plain band.
What I'm planning at the moment though is collecting Tesco vouchers, cos you can exchange every £10 for £40 vouchers for a 'well-known high street jeweller'. Currently got £60, so that's £240 towards a ring.
CommentAuthorDrunchPunk
Oh yeah, I loved the gear ring Goff, not showing it to my h2b in case he changes his mind about the cheaper titanium band :)

and we have just bought ours on ebay for 49pound... we are on a tight budget and our rings wont be dear xx

wow - well done you guys. I paid £800 for both of ours and then had the pleasure of having so much hasstle with them. I say the cheaper the better x x
CommentAuthoralsieboo
H2b paid nearly £700 for e-ring, which is gorgeous, but I don't want to spend nearly as much on w-ring!!! I'm thinking about £400 for the pair, from H Samuels which we've got a discount for, think it's only 10%, but if that'll take us down to £350 then get in!
CommentAuthormrs linda greer 21/8
i found a jewellers at the wedding show i was at yesterday that will do a shaped band for £95 then if at a later date i want dimonds put i can do at £20 each think i might put 1 in when i get my band done (got an idea how i want it 2 look), dont have a clue about H2B`s as hes fussy the ones i like he doesnt lol.
everywhere else had been quoting me £250+ for a shaped band so i was really chuffed finding them :)

CommentAuthorIz
We're getting ours made up in white gold, to match my engagement ring so I think that's going to puch the price up...it's going to be about £600 for both I think xx
CommentAuthornicnak_83
ours are £635 for both. That's only because we didn't want plain bands and I wanted diamonds but if we were going for plain it would be alot cheaper. xx

we've got someone coming round on the 2nd of march to discuss our rings but think h2b's is up to £500 and mine is about £900 i think we get some discount tho cause we booked the meeting at a show x
CommentAuthorjenniebean
my engagement ring was £4000 just over but our wedding bands are working out for me around 650 and him 600 as i am having a row of diamonds too just to be greedy h2b said he would rather spend 10k on our rings than on the wedding ! as the wedding is one day and our rings will be with us forever i would rather do it the other way round so we are compromising
CommentAuthorEsme38
I got mine in Argos - £29.99. I wanted plain gold band. H2b had planned to get his there and I thought I may as well have a look too. I had been to several jewllery stores but couldn't find 'Halo' style ring (what i REALLY wanted). When I tried on the Argos ring I liked the style so decided there and then to get it. I said to H2b he could get me an expensive ring on our 10th anniversary!

CommentAuthorKatiecj
We ordered ours today from Ernest Jones. As my engagement ring was £1000 i've gone for a plain gold band which was £299. H2B has gone for a platinum one at £800. We got a 10% discount as Nick bought my engagement ring there and we got them on 12 months interest free :-)

I'm just doing my final budgeting the now and have no clue what to budget for my ring. Dave doesn't need one as he is getting his dad's. I need an 18ct white gold band but it has to be shaped as my eng ring has a twist in it. Any ideas what a plain band like that'd cost?
