    hi girls,

have been thinking about chair covers for our big day since we booked the venue last year.
Part of me hates spending pennies to cover chairs but a bigger part of me feels that our venue really need them!

We are having 40 day time guest and i have found somewhere local that does covers at £2 each including sashes.

So....is £80 to have my chairs covered for the big day a good price?
    How much did you pay?
    Is anyone not having them?

Prices I've seen range from £2 to £4.50.....so I think you ladies have found bargains!

We aren't having them because the chairs in the venue are quite nice and as its a fairly small room I think it would look a bit much, but if the benue had gopping chairs I'd defo go for them xx

in my area they range from £1.50 to £2.95 depending on the style and material used so i think £2 is a good price

That is good the cheapest I could find were £2.75 with sash. I have booked them because that was the cheapest I could find and I looked for ages. I found an advert for £2 a cover but when I enquired about them I was told that it was an offer and would expire before our wedding.
I am having them because personally I think that it makes the room look better and the chairs at our venue are not the nicest.

Have seen some goof deals but remember cheap is not always best, have heard stories have messy bows ripped chair covers etc or not turning up at all.

    Just a little tip.

I don't like my venues chairs, they have just changed them but I still feel a wedding is white chairs covered with sashes, I've had a quote of £240 for white cotton, not stretchy Lycra covers, and sating sashes for 80 chairs including set up, I thought this was quite reasonable

Mine are £2.50 each, which is much cheaper than our marquee' companies which is £4.50 a cover. Not sure how they can justify that price!

We're not having chair covers as our venue chairs are quite new, but meant to look old, to go with the venue, so we're just going to put brightly coloured sash's on them & leave it as that. xx

Ours are 1.50 each including set up and sash. The lady doing them had a special offer on book of face, so we snapped her up quickly! Shes the best in our area for decorating weddings etc so would have usually been double that. X

I am going to make mine,so I can have nice material ,then hire them out later at a fair price, because I think some are too expensive and want you to hire them over more than the days needed x

That's about an average price I think. And it does include them setting it up for you.
We're having them because they just finish the room off, but they're not a necessity if you can't afford them

yeh thats pretty good. one of the places that we looked at quoted £4.25 per chair. i think that is so bad.
i am thinking of doing the sashes myself so just need to see what they look like without the chair covers to see whether they need them.

At our venue, some of them will be fixed benches, so it'd look weird to have some covered and some sort-of not, so we're having sashes on the top table chairs, then nothing on the others as they'd probably just have jackets, coats and hadbags slung over them anyway

We've been looking around, £2 is a great price!! Our venue really does need them, the chairs are comfy just will clash completely with most colour schemes (they're bright red lol) Just wondered what you do in eve??
We have 50 day guests and 100 eve ones - gonna cover the chairs for use in daytime but just wondered what others have done about the extra chairs put out in the evening. I don't want to pay for more then 50 really but I don't want it to look awful

We didn't have them as our venues chairs were really nice anyway....don't know what i would have done if they weren't as i am not really keen on chair covers plus as AmyK mentioned people just put their jackets etc on the back of the chair and spoil the uniformed look anyway. xxx

We are not bothering as the venue chairs are lovely and all wooden which fits it with the barn - 95% of weddings don't use them at the venue so that saves me a few pounds :-)

They have sashes on the Bay of E for as little as £1.10 each :-)
I'm not having them, they do look lovely but think the money would be better spent elsewhere

We left chair covers til last to see if we could afford them.We were quoted 150 for 0 chair covers, delivered, fitted and then taken away. We got a discount with the company as they were recommended by the hotel and it came to 93 odd.

They definitely made an impact on the room when laid out for the ceremony and then reception.
