if your talking reception we are doing it all ourselves the evening before as we have hall from then until the wedding night, we will do my brothers garden in the afternoon before too, finishing touches first thing by friends which is good otherwise if i am sat at home doing nothing it won't be good for my nerves! haha

yeah we just have to give all our bits to the venue and they will set it up for us. I wish i could afford one of those professional decorator companies who would completely kit the place out head to toe but it was just not an option for us

Hotel will do for us - we are providing the stuff - still deciding about chair covers but looks like these will be about £150. Does that help?

We are having the church decorated with candles as a cheaper alternative to flowers and have had a number of candle parties to get the commission to buy our candles in effect for free! We have borrowed chair covers and bows from my friend whose auntie made them for her wedding, hotel is setting the room up with white cloths, and we are providing everything else - table centrepieces and crystals. We have made our own place cards then in the evening we are having a masquerade ball and I am making a fairylight backdrop myself and masquerade mask centrepieces plus we are haing disposable cameras around the venue and mask templates and crafty bits so if anyone comes without a mask they can make them! We are having candle bags along the driveway outside the venue for the evening and for our favours we are having sparklers tied with organza ribbon and a card with the bible reading from our service on one side and on the other it says Friendship is love set on fire....thank-you for coming!

I cant believe the price for table covers! My venue has all lovely wodden furnature, so not bothering, but will cost about £150 for flowers, and we have spent £50 on candles for the open fire place, in that well known swedish shop.

i think you have quite a lot for your money, and you wont have to worry about buying bits nd pieces form different places, lugging them to your venue and setting eveything up. and the starlight backdrops are gorgeous! i saw the venue we're having decorated by the company im using for a wedding on new years eve and it was increible. just got to have it, simple as that! x
