Just been thinking and wanted to see if any of you managed to get any money off ur wedding dress and how much u paid? I have put a deposit on a beautiful maggie sottero dress after only seeing it in the shop twice because i was so worried about it suddenly being discontinued and never being able to get it again! I ended up paying full price which was £1050 plus £95 for alterations! So much money! Now I'm starting to think I shouldn't have been so hasty and should have waited a bit longer! Lol AND I said to myself that i would be so good and always look for good deals! Ermm not doing very well so far! Lol

I am spending no more then 200 - 300pounds as i dont see the point i am going to wear it once and then lock it away. I know that sounds odd but i dont see the point. Yes i want to look pretty but i dont think you need to spend a whole months wages on something you are going to wear once

i agree that why i only spent that i got £100 off it before teh £15 fot hoops lol but there were some i loved and realy thoguht it was it but couldnt justify sepnding that mch on a dress was nearly £1000 before the hoops so yeah i compromised as cudnt find it anywhere before tho now have found it on the wonderful bay of e lol still i love my dress and i am hoping to be able to alter it slightly so i can wear it to black tie events as we have a few for the lifeboat charity yearly. so even tho mine was a lot fr me i love it i wouldnt worry bout whether you spend a lot or a little if it the right dress and you can afford it then go for it and dont worry x

p.s sorry about spelling the stupid keyboard dont like me today lol

I got a brand new, designer wedding dress (hadnt even been tried on by anyone, I was the first person to try it on) for £295. I brought it at a sample sale. But my one was actually fresh out the wrapper, it was one that had been over ordered.

just arrived today and fits perfectly until you get to the ruched bit just below my bosom where the zip wont negotiate but the clasp will.....bit gutted really but never fear as my mam is thrifty and can sort that out easily (one of my sisters had the same issue with her prom dress) so homeward bound i go in the new year :) oh and my shoes were £15 and look gorgeous

I am planning on re-selling mine afterwards tho, no point in paying so much money to wear it once and then lock it away forever, might as well make some of my money back and let someone else enjoy it!
