I have been making cones out of Doillies, you can get a 60 pack of doillies from pound shops.

Cut them in half, and roll them in to a cone, use a sticker or double sided tape to secure them. Half fill with confetti.

They say to have enough cones for half of the guests :-) xx

hey, I got married yesterday and had made cones from doillies. I had 40 cones plus my flowergirl basket. I bought 5 litre bag of natural petal confetti and i still have some left over.
    hope that helps

I was going to ask the same question I've got about 70 people coming. I would like at least every couple to have a confetti cone

I'm going to get my confetti in the next few months as I know they do last a long time.

I have never heard of the bridal party supplying the confetti.i won't be. I just asked my mum to pick enough up so my girls can throw some. Our church doesn't let you throw it in the church grounds because of the mess it makes so the guests have to wait until we are outside the gates.

I wanted to buy it as were getting married at a zoo so if the aminals end up eating it then it won't hurt them. Also a few weddings I've been too we was given them by the ushers.

I am buying my own to give out to guests but that is just becuase I think it can look so pretty sitting there in the basket. My H2B thinks it is all unneccessary expense but its these little things that I love.

I dont know if we're even allowed confetti at my venue. We are at the reception but that would be a bit late! I dont know if I would supply it either, we tend to take confetti to all the weddings we go to anyway, so I kinda hope my guests do the same :) xx

It was so nice having the cones at our wedding the guests loved them. Plus the confetti shot is soooooooo nice as its colour coordinated with the wedding!!!
It was so cheap to do as I made cones from doillies (£1) and the 5 litre bag of natural petal confetti was only £30.
My vicar loves confetti to be thrown in the grounds as he says it make the church look loved and used!! We also had the flowergirl scattering it down the aisle too!!!!

I'm the same as Heather - I've never heard of the bridal party supplying confetti. We didn't and the guests definitely brought enough of their own. I think you'll find a lot of guests won't expect you to provide it and will bring their own anyway (especially the older guests).

both the registry office and the recpetion venue stipulated that they only allow bio-degradable confetti, and I didnt want to chance someone turning up with the other stuff, so I told everyone I would be supplying it.
I have also got a bubble machine.....cant wait for that!
