We priced ours up at the jewelry quarter and then took the same spec to an online company that had been recomended to us and saved about 50% I think ours were about 280 for white gold, they came really quick in beautiful wooden boxes, Ill put the name of the online company on my wall (I had the hallmark checked by a friend that works in birmingham assay office and they are ok) also have 14 day money back guarantee and do engraving.

See I don't want to spend more than £200 H2B a fitness instructor and teacher so he wouldn't need a really strong metal not like someone in construction anyways and I don't trust myself with a really expensive ring i've lost my engagement ring before in blackpool and had only been engaged 2 weeks (we found it on top of pram thank god) that was £100 s'pose to be £450 i'm not sure probably roughly £200 x

I think ours will be about £1400 together - though that's not equally split! I can';t decide between 2 rings - but both are platinum with diamond setting - my e/ring is platinum so needs to match. H2b is getting a palladium band.

I'm not a jewellery person (I only wear a watch and my e ring), but I'll be getting an 18ct white gold band to match my e ring. Not sure what H2B wants.

What's palladium? I've heard of it but don't know what it is :o/

his was £275 (palladium) mine was £80 (white gold) or thereabouts. It's hopefully going to take a lot more without damaging; my FH is a guitarist amongst other things so we want one that's going to stand up to that.

We bought our ring from Argos & paid £35 for both!!!!!

We will get other rings afterwards but we're on a really tight budget at the moment.

In all fairness though they hardly look any different than the ones we tried at almost £1000 for both.

You can see if you look closely that my engagement ring is a slightly darker metal but to be honest I'm not bothered by that at all

Argos for me.... engagement ring £80 I think and wedding ring £70 but only paid £20 as had enough nectar points to pay £50 towards it! H2Bs ring is £40! Ordered it this weekend, really unusual and he loves it - and that was from a private jeweller. To us, its not the value, its the meaning behind them x

my husband spent a lot of money on both my rings, they came from the same shop and are of the same 18ct white gold, they are full insured both our wedding rings are engraved, sadley however because of my job l cannot wear any of my rings because they are diamonds and could get damaged, l go to work everyday feeling undressed!!!
my husband now wants to buy me a plain wedding band, which is very sweet of him.. so my real wedding and engagement ring will only come out for day's off and nights out sob!!!!

I have seen one i love in a ernest jones and it is 200pounds. Martyn has seen one for 200pounds too. I am so hoping we have them in our budget if not then we get cheaper ones and then when we have our blessing in ireland for or 5 years then we will get them for that.

My engagement ring was £400 I don NOT want a wedding ring at that price too .... we went to a jewellers nearby and seen the perfect wedding ring to compliment my engagement ring but it was £250 ... no chance! One in Argos very similar and just as nice £80 .. that will do me! It's not about the money spent, it's about the meaning of the ring in my opinion

I'm having my ring made for me, the guy is cheap as it cuts out all costs of staff and building costs etc. so just for ring is £144 but it's being made to fit with my engagement ring and will follow the pattern I have with 2 pink Sapphires and 1 Diamond. lightweight and dainty, just perfect for me :) H2B is having a plain band being made for £55 :)

I actually tried on a really nice wedding band last night which was £600. We originally budgeted about £600 for both but its looking like it will be closer to £1000 as we really don't want to scrimp on them. I also think I will need diamons in my band to match my engagement ring as without diamond looks really odd. Hence the increase! xx

well Mr lala has been saying that he would like to use a ring i bought for him a couple of years ago as his wedding ring...which is titainium with 3 diamonds and 3 sapphires set in to it ,
he then said as we wont be buying him one that i can have his money towards mine ......i am having a diamond set ring and think it will be about £800/£900 but we will be buying in America as you get far more for your money there

Ours came to £1650 for the two mine is shapes to fit around my engagement ring in 18ct White gold and is set with 12 little diamonds in the band. My h2b's is a palladium conceded Shape and so unusual looking I love them. It does scare me though that when I will be married I'll have the deposit for a house sitting on my ring finger. It doesn't really matter what you spend on them as long as your happy with them as it's what they symbolise rather than anything else.
