My ring is solid 22ct is worth over £800 but it was my nanas so luckily i dont have to pay for it, it has cost £45 to resize. If i was actually buying one i wouldnt pay more than £150 for me. For my H2b we are looking to pay around £100 x

the two things that are going to last passed the wedding day are the rings and photographs, so were making sure we spend a good amout of money on them, however my blokes ring is only about £50-100 titamiuam, so he can wear it to work and scracthes and stuff dont matter. =)

Same here dolly spending on photo's and rings as they last beyond the day and the rest were cost cutting where we can. Except the venue which is coming in at £3000 all in and the parents have offered to pay half each for that :-)

I'm doing the Tesco thing for Goldsmiths too, I have £150 which can get me £600 of rings, and my H2B is a farmer and swears he doesn't want one, so think i'll get his from argos and use the vouchers to treat myself!

This is the one area we're not scrimping on, although we did get a huge discount. We're paying £1400 for both rings. Mine is plat (to with E ring) with 8 diamonds in (had to be custom made due to shape of E ring) and H2B's is palladium, 6mm with beveled edge. I totally think that you should get what you can afford and we've cut back on other areas to enable us to have these. x

My ring will be £200-300 and I am hoping we can get Rob's for a similar price

Jo with the Goldsmiths thing you exchange your club card reward vouchers for Goldmsiths vouchers - they are now only worth 3x the value of the clubcard vouchers but there is no limit to how many vouchers you use to convert to Goldsmiths, but they may put a time limit on when the Goldsmiths vouchers you get in return have to be used by :) xxx

To those who didn't want to spend much for fear of damaging them at work, how about buying a cheap but tough one to wear at work and a nicer one for out-of-work? or you could wear it on a chain around your neck? (If 'Elf and Safety will allow it?! lol)

We got ours from Bay of E and paid a total of about £100 for them both including postage, ring box and engraving (Yes, they did fit perfectly). They are titanium with a black aztec pattern around them, will try and get a pic up later.

Mine was £850, hubby's was £200. We got a fair bit of a discount and ended up paying £850 for both of them. Both 9ct gold. Mine has diamonds in, hubby's is just a plain band. We got free engraving on both, 3 free silver pendants for bridesmaids and my engagement ring cleaned up for free. My engagement ring came from a well known high street retailer, but we decided to go to an independent jewellers for wedding rings. I work for a jewellery wholesalers but didn't want to get them from work, just went to one of our customers instead! (I didn't tell them that though)

Steph there are several fairly local to us in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham. There seems to be plenty nationally, London, York etc. If you g00g1e wedding ring workshops something should pop up x

Emily I emailed for quotes and to book after posting this, I hope the one we chose to go with gets back to us soon so we can book a place, we've both agreed that we both want the experience and to invest in our rings as they are the part we keep forever. So exciting!
