I was at a showcase with my band the other week and noticed a girl in the fashion show with stunning hair, so got a leaflet off of her and the people who did her hair are really reasonable.
Its £25 for a trial and £35 for the wedding day.
However, their make up costs more and I just wondered how much you guys have been quoted for make up? Its not for me but I know 2 of my BMs want their make up done. Its £35 for the trial and £60 for the day. I am maybe going to have a trial but I will do my own make up on the day as I really enjoy putting on make up :-)
I think the hair prices seem fantastic but the make up is a bit much.....

Mine is £30 that is the trials and the day. My hairdresser is doing a special deal for me, then charging £15 for each of the bridesmaids.

I think hair and make up are good prices tbh chick x
Yeah, the hair price is great because when I saw the girl at the wedding show, her hair was absolutely gorgeous. It was perfect, so I definately want them to do my hair :-) Its just the make ups a bit pricey. I thought hair would cost more than make up

Nails! Thats another thing I'll need to sort out, thanks for reminding me. I dont think I'll get my make up done as I want to do it myself but I think my bms will want theirs done. Did/Is anyone pay for the bms make up and hair also?

I dont normally wear make up so wouldnt know where to start with putting my own on. My bridesmaid and mum are both paying for their own hair and want to do their own make up. Saved me a few pennies

Yes I'm paying for my bridesmaids. My bridesmaids hair is £25 each but because I have 5 bridesmaids she's also doing my mums hair for free. There make up is £35 and an extra £15 each if they want airbrushed foundation

I have been quoted £45 for airbrush make-up which includes a trial and £35ea for all other bridal members without a trial. I am paying for my BM's hair and make-up.
Haven't got hair sorted yet, going to see how much my local hairdresser is xx

See I hadnt even thought about their hair and make up (I dont really know what I am doing with all this weddin stuff). Is it really cheeky to ask them to pay for their own hair and make up (if they want it done)?
I cant really afford it you see :-/

I did plan on asking my bridesmaids to pay for themselves but I ended up just paying for it myself. I kind of have this opinion that I asked them to be a bridesmaid, I cant then ask them to fork out for stuff. I know everyone is different and can't afford it though so I'd just talk to them, explain that you're not fussed if they want it done professionally or not but if they do, they will have to pay x

im paying 600 for my hair but im having real hair, bonded extensions in a cut, hightlights and then it curled on the day. make up free 20 for the day trial free because i know the woman that does it
CommentAuthorRockabilly chick
See I havent asked them to pay for their dresses or shoes but I didnt think that they would be getting their hair or make up done professionally. I thought they could have quite simple hair style with a pretty clip that I would get and cos I want to do my own make up, I thought they would as well. It was just when one of them mentioned she would like her hair and make up done cos shes rubbish at it lol. Think I am going to send a message round asking who wants their hair&make up done and take it from there

I'm paying £25 per person for the make up trial and then again for the day plus petrol for Jo to get to my venue as she will have to travel quite far. She's not charging extra for an out call as I'm a regular at her salon. Have you considered going to Mac? they do wedding make up trials for £25 or £50 with a lesson but you then get a voucher to spend that on Make up from them so you at least get something to walk away with. Hair is free as my friends are doing it xx
CommentAuthorRockabilly chick
I was thinking of having a trial with mac as Ive heard their make up is lovely. I am more than happy with the prices I got for the hair though. £25 is more like what I would want to pay for make up too. But I really would rather do me own face, I like my eyeliner done a certain way :-)
