how much are you paying for hair and make up for your wedding day ? how much is it costing for bridesmaids? do you have any recommendations for people in the west midlands / Birmingham / erdington area please

Not looked into it yet as wedding is still quite far away, but bearing in mind your location, are you going to The National Wedding Show at the NEC? Would probably be lots of make up artists and hairdressers exhibiting there and could maybe bag yourself a bit of a deal by booking with them on the day? xx

I'm no where near you I'm in Glasgow but I'm paying £80 (£40 each) for my hair and make up on the day my bridesmaid is £70 (£35 each) for hair and make up and the trials are £40 for both per person

I have had a few quotes from girls in Shrewsbury and Staffordshire areas and they are coming up at: Bridal makeup trials have been quoted at £40 for two hours. On the day prices are £50 for the bride and £35 for any other wedding party member. Hair is coming up roughly the same sort of prices. I've had quotes from twelve different companies and they are all very similar.
On this subject how long in advance are you generally booking in hair and make up? Is it better to have both done by the same person? Or do you have a bevy of ladies preening you?!

I have the same person doing my hair and make up, she has done my hair for a while now so I dont think I'd feel comfortable with anyone else. SHe is charging £60 for hair and £60 for make up to come to my home to do it, plus £25 for bridesmaids hair (I have two, I am not paying for make up for them). All prices include trial so I dont have to pay anyting extra on top and the make up price includes false eyelashes. I have just booked mine now and I get married in Oct 2015.
