i know there are a lot of venue threads but im in the middle of finding "THE" venue and was just wondering how many you all looked at before picking the perfect one! im up to five so far and i love one but others have lots to offer too!

I think we saw two.. but read loads of brochures. We stopped at the second one as the foood was out of this world!

Different for me tbh - Ive been to every venue in my area but its down to my work - so for me its harder - I have been to 2 venues as a "Bride" and i was disappointed so im stumped :\

I think we actually looked around 3 but read loads and loads of brochures. We were originally looking for somewhere where we could have our own caterers...that was a hard task. In the end we chose the Masonic Hall in Southport...we cant have our own caterers but the food looks lovely and is really reasonably priced...plus the building is gorgeous and there's no hire fee!!

I Knew straight away for my ceremony, looked at a few for reception. It was location and price that swung it for me!

ours was the 2nd one we looked at but we looked at 2 more after just to make sure we weren't being impulsive

We looked at 1. I knew the venue anyway, as it's uite close to my parents house and I went there loads when I was growing up, so there was sentimental reasons behind choosing it. Also, the price was just so great (£3600 for service, afternoon and evening reception, catering, staff, table-linen etc) it was just right.

not to sure on the exact number but in the region of over 20. we live in north yorkshire and there is so many venues! i am literally sick of looking now....we have got about six more to see. x

We are only having a hall and we are going to do it up and make it pretty. There are three we have to choose from. One i would prefer as i now the manager and my sister works there and will get me discount. But that is not why i prefer it. It is coz it is a irish club and it has everything we need, Lift wheel chair friendly, disabaled loo's and the ladies loos are big enough to get me and a dress in there.
Cant wait to to marry Martyn
