Hi This is my first post on this site.

Basically myself and my husband got married in 2012, We had a big ish wedding a lot of input from family, we must do this and that! We had a lot of problems on the day which is always bought up! i was 1 hour and 45 minutes late due to not having a dress delivered on time,it was then two big and she forgot my vail and headdress, Photos are not what we wanted (style) I cried the whole way down the aisle and can't actually remember the service! I remember it as one huge mess of a day.

So me and my husband were thinking about renewing out wedding vows, We have been married only 4 years this august! he said celebrate 5 married years together? personally is that to short? i know its our choice but would like to get someone else's advice.

Thank you for reading my post x

As its a "do over" as opposed to just a renewal I think you will be fine!
Maybe word the invites such that people know why you are renewing so soon

It's definitely OK! I have heard of a couple renewing their vow every year on their wedding anniversary. Although I personally wouldn't do it, I thought it was lovely. You will be making more wonderful memories with your husband and that is never a bad thing x

I would have said 5, then 10 years etc. You don't have to have a massive thing if you don't want to, but then you may want another 'big day' done your way the way you wanted it first time round. I think its lovely to go for next year, go for it! :)

If you can sort it for next year then do it! Most people who will be there will know that the first time round wasn't as you planned.

You definately have the ok on this one. Do it as soon as you would like the way you would like it. You can look back on it and finally smile

I don't see an issue. Its reaffirming your love for each other so doesn't matter if you do it 1 month after or 30 years. It still has the same importance xx

I just replied on your other post, but I dint know the background, so I woukd say def try for next year, seems you almost need closure on the disaster of your first day- it will give you all something positive to look forwards too as well :-)

I too lost my mum suddenly due to an aggressive cancer nearly 2 years ago so know how hard it is xx
