hi, Im having trouble choosing my bridesmaids, I have my baby and my god daughter as flower girls, my best friend and my sister as maid of honers, I have also asked my younger cousins as none of them have been bridesmaids (there is 4 of them) but I really want to have two of my other close cousins. So all together I would have 2 flower girls, 2 maids of honers and 6 bridesmaids! is this too many?!

Its your wedding. You can have as many as you want. Better to have them than to regret not having them x

I have 5 bridesmaids and 1 flower girl.
Way out the pro's & con's especially prices..if you get their dresses from a bridal shop your looking a £150 min... hair/makeup, hair accesories, shoes?

But its your wedding hun, only you & your hubby can decide :) do what feels right & what you want, not what you think you should do.

When we went to see the registrar the other week she said there was a couple who were having 22 bridesmaids and paige boys/ flower girls! 22!!!!!! So no, I don't think what you want is too much, I guess it's whether your budget can permit it xx

I have three bridesmaids and a flower girl.

I read somewhere that the number of guests depends on how many bridesmaids you have, the more guests you have the more bridesmaids you have. I think it's because the more guests you have the more help you need to organise the day, and a bridesmaids role is to help the bride when ever she needs it.

The more the merrier i say , haha :-) as long as you can afford it!

A few years ago i went to a wedding in norway (my h2b's brother, married a norweigan) and they had 26 BM's, all the brides nieces! all under about 12 years old aswell - they looked so sweet dressed in little pink dresses and at the ceremony they sang a song dedicated to the bride and groom - so so so sweet x

I have been worrying about this too. Because of the whole "wedding politics and families" thing, I am being forced into having to have 7. I was worried originaly that it was too many and I would look like a diva with my entourage, but 3 are flowergirls, two (9 and 14) will be young BMs and two will be adullt BMs so I think it won't look silly as I first thought when reality hit that I had to have every female under 16 in our families. When you look at other peoples weddings you will see that it isn't as common anymore to just have two or three BMs too. I say go with what ever you are comfortable with hun and what you want. It is your wedding xx

    7 years together
    6 years engaged
    2 surprise arrivals
1 date set. I will finally become Mrs A in December 2013!

I think the only thing i would worry about having lots of bridesmaids (i am only having 2 ,moh my sister and my daughter as a flowergirl) is organising them all on the day and getting their hair and makeup done etc...if you are all getting ready together it could be very hectic. Some people love hustle and bustle others prefer calm.I personally want it to be calm and serene whilst i am getting ready so a gaggle of girls wouldn't be good for me lol xxx
