One of my bridesmaids has asked me for a list of people I would like inviting on my hen do (which is a surprise for me and being organised by the bridesmaids). I wrote a list and it had 30+ people on, I don't really want a group that big as I find people go off in their own groups and its harder to please everyone!
So I thought about having a main one away with friends who are coming to the wedding day do and then having a meal and night out at home for family and the others.
I don't want people to be offended though! What do you think? Xx

To be honest i'm not really that bottherd about about having much of a hen do, but your idea sounds good :) x

That sounds like a lovely idea. You only get one hen do so do it the way you want. I'm also considering have a big and small hen do.

I just want 1 for friends, I'd be happy with a meal out and then a few drinks somewhere.

However work have told me that I'll be going straight the pub on the last day of work before the wedding, and told me to expect a hangover the next day!

My MOH is organising a weekend at a cottage. I was wondering how it was going to work as it only sleeps 8 but there are about 20 eho would like to celebrate with us. I think ill pinch your idea of having 2. The cottage break for close friends and coctails for everyone else.

Thanks ladies, once again you have given me a great idea xx

I had a similar problem and then found it hard to find something that would suit everyone whilst thinking about money. I ended up having 5 and can honestly say I've had a fab time.

1 was with a group of us mums from school having a bite to eat then drinks
2 was with girls from work having a meal at the casio and drinks afterwards
3 was a spa day with bm's and a few work colleagues
4 was a meal with 3 other close friends
5 was afternoon tea at betty's with my mum, aunt, sil, siltb, mil2b, sister/moh and friend/bm

Everyone said they really enjoyed it. That way people picked which bit they wanted without feeling uncomfortable and having to lay out loads of money. I know you can do all the above in a weekend but not many of us could have been available for a full weekend away etc
Thanks what worked best for me anyway and wouldn't change a thing :) x

Im having a night out and ive got around 34 girls coming but ive sorted a party coach and our own vip room with games to try get everyone interacting with each other for the first half of the night, then im sure everyone will break off into groups once we hit the dance floor then re-join at the end of the night for transport home.

Im also thinking of doing a meal with some of the girls at work who dont like clubbing and all my friends so can chat and relax :)

Go for it ive know people to have 4 different hen dos!
