Our wedding is just under a year away so we have plenty of time yet. However after our original cake maker let us down (without any word or warning- she just blocked us on facebook and our numbers!), I started to panic about finding a new one as I had been so organised!.
I found another in September and her cakes are amazing! Communication had been fantastic and at the start of October I was ready to give her the £100 deposit, to which she asked if I would like to come for a consultation and cake tasting before handing over the deposit. I said this would be great, and I was going on holiday, but would email her a few days after I was back to arrange a date.
I emailed her two weeks ago to arrange a date for cake tasting, and to hopefully put down our deposit and secure our date. However in two weeks I have heard nothing back. As I say initial communication was great, but after our original cake maker let us down I'm starting to panic a little (it's made me anxious!). I don't want to come across as needy by following her up, with our wedding being just under a year away; but is 2 weeks too long to wait for a reply? Would it be fair of them to send a chaser asking about cake tasting and the deposit again?
